I can get a really cheap ticket into Long Beach Airport, but I have only flown into Ontario and Santa Ana.

Can anyone tell me how far Long beach airport is from Disneyland? Which highway would I take and how long is the drive?

Thanks!

Long Beach Airport if right off the 405 San Diego Freeway. I'd take the 405 South to the 22 Garden Grove Freeway East and then exit Harbor Blvd North.

About 40 minutes without delays. About the same amount of time as Ontario, I think.

Depending on traffic, and if you have more than one in the car, I would take 22 to the I-5 North, then take either the Katella Avenue exit (regular lanes), or Disney Way (special Carpool lanes), should cut a few minutes off the drive, unless traffic is really bad on the I-5.

Yeah, but then you'd miss out on the traditional Disneyland Resort lead-in...The Harbor Blvd Adventure! ;)

Yes, the scenic run down shops and restaurants, the 99 cents only store, then a bunch of hotels and motels....

If you want a scenic drive, get off at City Drive instead, go North to the Krispy Kreme at the Blcok of Orange, go thru the Drive Thru (only if the "HOT" light is lit), then keep going north and hook up with I-5 ;)

Although the airport is next to the 405, I don't think it should be the freeway of choice.
The 405 and 22 are always a crapshoot.

Personally, I would exit Daugherty Field, head north (left) on Lakewood Blvd 3 or 4 miles, to the 91.
Take the 91 east to I-5 south, then I-5 south to Disneyland Drive.
It should take less than 30 minutes.

The rental agency might have some ideas also.

This is the way our limo driver took us when we were there in December and it was about a 1/2 hour from LB Airport to DLH!

LB is the only airport I will be flying into from now on.

You can even catch the carpool lanes on the 91 and 5.
There's a 91 to I-5 south carpool transition and a Disneyland Drive carpool exit from the 5.

It would take less than a half hour to get there. It's only about 20 miles, if you take the 91. I love the 91. When i come from bel air i take the 405-105-110-91. it has cut at least a half hour off my trip when i would take either the 405 or the 5.

OK... I'll be the first to ask... where are you flying from and how cheap is your flight? Care to share?

One of the main airlines flying into Long Beach is Jet Blue, which specializes in longer distance flights (versus Southwest which prefers short distance flights).

Okay, so I was checking out Jet Blue and from Oakland it's only $35 each way that's only $70 round trip. I was going to go for my birthday which would be Jan 30 - Feb 1. My B-Day being Jan 31st!! And since I have my AP it would be the best birthday gift...

Long Beach is the way to go. It's very small, hardly any crowds, and security is nothing like the others. For the $35, well worth it. It can only be a 15-20 minute drive right down Willow/Katella Ave.

I used to live in Long Beach for 30 years, and that's a great place to fly to and from. DO IT !!
