I'm not talking about your favorite ride, but the ride that combines the best themeing, audio track, ride design, decoration, lighting, queue, and don't forget the ride itself.

My choice is Indy. I think disney did an excellent job with that ride, and they haven't been able to top it since it was built. Not far behind (in no particular order) is POTC and Splash Mountain, and maybe even TOT.

What are you opinions.

POTC - nothing comes close (IMHO). The Disneyland Rail Road, HM and my favorite, Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room - I may be a little biased

I say Splash Mountain is the best themed..........I lake POTC inside, but the outside of the ride building is poor in comparison to Splash.

I'm gonna say Indy too....POTC loses it for me with the queuing area. I'm almost willing to deal with a long lineup for Indy just to look at everything in the lineup area.

Personally, I'm rather partial to Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, even though it's been well over a year since I've ridden the thing. And for DCA, it would have to be Soarin'.

If we were to expand this to include WDW, then I'd say that GMR, Imagination, PhilharMagic, and Kilimanjaro Safaris, would be the "best done" attractions for their respective WDW parks.

Indy gets my vote also. From begining to end every detail puts you in the experience.

I would vote for Indy...not only is it my all time favorite ride, but I LOVE the Indiana Jones Trilogy and I think that the Imagineers did a GREAT job capturing the themes of the 3 movies from the moment you step in line to the moment you exit.

Indie and HM. Roger Rabbit's queue is so claustraphobic! Indie has close quarters too but at least you actually move through quickly!

Again, I am all alone in my opinion of this ride: IASW. I think it's fantastic especially at Christmas. The message/theme, decorations, music..

Next would be POTC and HM.

Yeah I agree, Indy is my number 1, especially at night.
#2 POTC
#3 Haunted Mansion
#4 Jungle Cruise at night

I dont know why but I just love all of the rides at night much better.

I Heart Disneyland!

Seeing as I based an entire Guerrilla Performance Art project on it, I have to say The Indiana Jones Adventure.

Indiana Jones Adventure hands down. Pirates would get a close second for me.

nobody's mentioned the Matterhorn - that musics just wants to make me yodel whenever i'm in line, plus the decor and the German-accented ride instructions really get me ready for a bob sled run. It's a bumby ride down and i love flying through the waterfalls. All i need are my lederhosen. :D

Indiana Jones is well done too, i have to agree. The Jungle Cruise is also in the top 3. The queue and theming are well done, plus its a classic ride.

But POTC? The ride is classic but the queue doesn't add anything and the Blue Bayou detracts from the experience. Roger Rabbit just doesn't have the history, and the courtyard of the HM isn't that foreboding though the CMs there are good.

At DCA, i like GRR and ToT the best. The boardwalk also works well with the Sun Wheel.

How can you even say that Soarin' has a theme? A Bugs Life has more overall "themeing"... Soarin' is just a plain rollercoaster, nothing special or unique about it.

1) Pirates of the Caribbean (original version)
2) The Haunted Mansion
3) Adventure Thru Inner Space

I think you may be referring to Screaming over California...Soaring over California is the IMAX-like simulator ride... Screaming is the rollercoaster.

Soaring is pretty well themed... old airline hanger and such.

But Screaming has theming elements...the loop-the-loop makes mickey's head :p
