Note, the special Costco CityPass first day must be done by March 31st, 2005, so this will work thru Spring Break of 2005.....

Ok, first off here the links to the prices and details...

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?prodid=10042654&whse=&topnav=&cat=4834&hierPath=111*4833*4834*

http://disneyland.disney.go.com/disneyland/en_US/reserve/ticketListing?name=TicketListingPage&year=2005

OK, let's look at the prices, first I will post the Adult price, then the kids 3-9 price.

Full Price 3-day DLR ParkHopper - $159/$129

Advance Purchase 3-day DLR ParkHopper with discount - $139/$109

SoCal CityPass with Costco Discount - $149.99/$114.99

So, for just $11 more ($6 for kids), if you buy the CityPass, you get a 3 day DLR ParkHopper, PLUS a day at Knott's, a day at SeaWorld SD and a day at either the SD Zoo or Wild Animal Park.

While you can buy the SoCal CityPass only at the SoCal Costco's in person, any Costco member can buy them thru the web site link above......

Looks like the best deal going for early 2005.

At FabsBoards.com, somebody brought out the fact that you "had" to have a Costco card, well, lets look into this into more detail....

But let's compare the FULL CityPass price....

http://citypass.com/city/socal.html?id=JsLBE9h3

So that is $172 for adults, or $129 for kids 3-9...

That makes the difference between the FULL Price ticket for a 3-Day ParkHopper and a CityPass ticket $13 for adults (and FREE for kids 3 thru 9), and BOTH are available at the Main Entry Plaza Ticket windows... WOW, and Disney has signed the contract thru March 2005 that requires them to offer this at the Ticket Windows, why NOT get the Kids CityPass at the same price????

What a great deal! http://www.miboards.com/forums/images/smilies/sunny.gif

Even if you compare the Advance Purchase Discounted DLR 3-Day ticket ($139/$109) to the Full priced CityPass, that is $33 for Adults, and $20 for kids.... a cost of about $11 a park for the other three days, still a good deal.....
