Would someone be able to explain what kind of show this is? I have heard good things about it, but I was wondering if it would amuse a 7 and 4 yr old whom we will be traveling with. Can anybody give me a heads up? Thank you.

It's a hillbilly comedy show, it's hilarious, and your kids will love it!

The Hillbilies are a bluegrass band with plenty of jokes and surprises in every song. Very entertaining.

After you fall in love, be sure to buy their CD. This is an unpaid advertisement. They're awesome!

The jokes will work on all ages, for a good view, arrive 20 mins early and sit up front or in one of the booths on the sides of the stage.

I bought the cd and love it!!
But I was disapointed that one of my favorite songs they do wasn't on there....Sirry with a Fringe on Top. :( But that's ok, it's still a great cd!

Not to mention when they decide to have an audience participation moment. ;)

Oh no!! I hate that. Do they randomly pick from the audience? Or take volunteers only?

They don't take volunteers. But you won't have to go up on stage if that's what your afraid of.
It's a great show!

Do you have to order food to see the show?

We thought the show was ok, the pre-shows they have outside are funnier IMO. Dh and son participated last year, the one where the guy dresses as a girl and they blind fold the participants. Anyone ever stop and watch, I thought it was hilarious!

Thankfully no... I was really disappointed the one time I did order food at the Golden Horseshoe. I had the chili cheese fries and a Coke, it cost me over $7 and I have had much better chili cheese fries at Wienerschnitzel!

As for the show, I absolutely adore it! My 83 year old grandmother enjoyed it as well... The Billys cover well know popular songs bluegrass style so you don't have to like bluegrass or country music to enjoy the show (but it does help). It's an alright show. I'm a bad judge of this particular show though, I loved the real Golden Horseshoe Review. :( The dancers, the show and the food was awsome. The food now=bad. The show is ok.
