A Ghoul and His Money ($37,400!) Will Soon Part (http://www.latimes.com/news/custom/showcase/la-me-tombstone22oct22.story)

Quick Quote
Cary Sharp is not a Disney zealot. Truth be told, he's been to Disneyland only once.
But he acknowledged Thursday afternoon — minutes after winning a $37,400 EBay charity auction to have his name and epitaph carved on a tombstone in the Anaheim park's Haunted Mansion attraction — that reasonable minds might disagree.
"I enjoy Disney; I'm not a Disney fanatic," said Sharp, a 37-year-old doctor and health care attorney from Baton Rouge, La. "Of course, this would raise questions now."

Quick guess at the epitaph:

Dear departed brother Cary
the final total was quite scary.

You know he goes to bed wearing his mickey mouse boxers under his fuzzy winnie-the-pooh footsie pj's while hugging his Stitch doll. :D

If you look at the winning bidders feedback you can see what they've purchased in the past. Well surprise, surprise, it's Disney related. Hmmm.....

I think he's in denial...

How sad that he isn't a Disney fanatic, it so much more to win such a bid.

Another epitaphs:

Dear, Cary
We are sorry to see you go,
But thanks, again, for the dough!

$37,000 is a lot of dough, Cary
For a tombstone you will rarely see.

That guy who won needs to be shot. The other guy deserved it way more then he did. That is a very sad story.

^ Come on, Maxing out your Credit Cards for a tombstone.... sorry, life has other priorties.... Mr. Sharp has the DISPOSABLE income to make the bid, and in my opinion, that is much better than someone putting themselves into the pawn shop for the winning bid... (IMHO)

Wow.

Well, I really hope they never knock down the mansion and build something in it's place....

I have a co-worker who wants to be cremated and spread around in the mansion. I always tell her she'll end up spending eternity in a vaccuum bag.

Personally,I don't like this whole "1000th ghost" thing. The haunted mansion is Known for being home to 999 happy haunts,And I think it should have stayed like that,I mean it may not be that big of a deal but it REALLY bugs me for some reason.

it says thwt gore writer Clive Barker entered the first bid at $750...well that bidder buys a ton of Disney collectable pins...now I just cant quite picture Clive running around DL with his pin vest on... :D

But they always say that one of them follows you home, so if a happy haunt follows every single person home, how do they keep the 999 number intact?

And considering how many times I've been on mansion, exactly how many haunts are now living at my house without paying rent?

Since they don't eat much or take up any space, perhaps you could just let them stay for free...

Here lies Cary, a health care lawyer;
He ignored the warnings in the foyer.
