I have often wondered how long after the official closing time people stay until.

eg if it closes at 10pm - there are always people about at 10pm and heading down Main Street. But how late does it get before they get everyone out? Have you been there long after closing time? What happens? Do they heard you out with a big rope?

Main Street shops are open for an additional hour "for your shopping convenience". At the time of park closing, Security begins sweeping from the most outlying areas of the park towards Main Street, pausing at the Hub until the shopping convenience hour is up. Then they work their way up Main Street to Town Square, moving any remaining guests ahead of them.

I've been in Town Square up until about 90 minutes past closing time, at which time a Security host came up to us, wished us good night, and said it was time to leave.

I think they leave the shops on Main St. open for an hour, but I'm not positive.

One night we were waiting at the train station in NOS around closing time at 8 pm (it was the off season). The train didn't show up till 8:20. The only reason we continured to wait was because 3 CM's had assured us the train was on the way.
Most everyone else had already given up on the train ever arriving.

The final train ride around the park was very slow. Some passengers were on the train because they had forgetten their strollers at Toontown and needed to pick them up. It was eerie riding around the park with it being very quiet and not a sole in sight. By the time we got to the Main Street station there were still plenty of people on Main Street and the conductor told us that it would close in 30 minutes if we had anymore shopping to do.

It was a unique experience for me. I was amused by the people who were waiting with us for the late train who decided to leave the NOS station. They were afraid the park would close with us all inside and we would "get in trouble". LOL

Many moons ago (when Mondalvi still ran the restaurant in DCA) my sister and I booked a seating there right at park close (it was off season and that was plenty early for dinner). We were the only ones eating for most of that time (one couple may have been having dessert when we walked in, but that was it), and they turned off the atmosphere music while we were still eating. It made the place VERY quiet.

As we were finishing up, we noticed a security guard on the upper level outside the building across the parade route, and figured they were waiting for us to leave. Yep, as we walked down the stairs to leave, there were three guards talking, and one breaks off to personally escort us out of the park. She said we WERE the absoulte last guests in the park that night.
