i'm taking the girl i tutor, i would consider her under priveleged, to disneyland october 2nd as my treat as she didnt do too many fun things this summer. however, my treat means my money. i'm an ap holder so if anyone has any ideas re tickets, food, etc that could make it somewhat more affordable to me i'd really appreciate it. Thanks!!

I have a couple of articles about going to Disneyland on a budget:

Disneyland on a Budget (http://www.mouseplanet.com/lani/budget.htm)
Shoestring Souvenirs (http://www.mouseplanet.com/lani/tp040804lt.htm)

AP holders can purchase a two-day park-hopper for $79 (per our promo info (http://www.mouseplanet.com/parkupdates/dlr/dlr040920.htm#Discounts); that will save you a few bucks (they are normally $89). There is also the extremely limited Southern California Select Annual Pass, which will still allow your pupil in on some of the slower weekends, and most weekdays during the off season. That's only $99, and it assumes she lives in Southern California.

1. Use your AP discount for food, tickets (I think there might be a special on the two-park pass for AP holders.)
2. If you want to take her a few more times (after each A on a test, maybe), consider an AP.

Question: will you have money in the future? If so, then I'm not being unreasonable about #2, for doing something for someone who is underprivileged. SoCal Select AP is pretty cheap (but it's for school days only), there's a Von's/Ralph's/somebody special going on again, I think.
