How would you calculate a discount with some many closures in the park? Would you divide it up by categories or lump them all together. I suppose only attractions would count since ODV and restaurants are an additional cost to the guest. What do you think? Give me some numbers people??? (For example if Disneyland had a total of 50 rides and attractions and lets say 8 of them are down. 8 divided by 50 to give you: 0.16 or 16%

Park ticket: 50.00 (make it easier)
x.16
$-8.00
$42.00 final cost of ticket.
*Just a thought? How would you calculate a discount.
*P.S. It would never happen in a million years...

I'll tell you how the DLR does it: 4 nights for the price of 3 at the resort hotels and a 3,4,5-day Park Hopper for $139 (or is it $129?).

Another way to look at it, such that it reflects reality slightly better:

Suppose 8 of 50 rides/attractions are closed, and the admission fee is $50.
So, 84% (42/50) of the rides are still open.
The question: would you still pay to enter if 100% were open and the admission fee were $50/0.84 = $59.50? If so, then you would be willing to pay 84% of this price for 84% of the rides/attractions.

My method works better, since you cannot control the cost of admission; only your choice to buy.

I would, however, NOT weight all rides equally. Space Mountain, for example, is worth two rides to me, since I will normally ride it twice in a day.
