We just booked a trip 9/28-10/2. I can't wait. Will Fantasmic still be going then? It is not listed on the disney web site.

09/07/04 - 12/01/04 the Sailing Ship Columbia looks like it's in dry dock for refurb, so F! will be down during that time. Actually, F! isn't scheduled to return until 12/17/04...

Word just came out that Columbia will actually have it's last day of service this Sunday, but will still be running for F! until refurb.

i think i remember a couple of years ago that i saw Fantasmic without the Columbia, i may just be mixing the mark twain and the Columbia, but i'm 50% sure i saw Fantasmic with out the Columbia

is F! up and running in January? what about electrical parade? i figure probably not during the week but what about weekends? taking wife and 2 kids down (age 3 and 7 months in january), hoping that the shows run on the weekends.

I believe you might be mixing the two ships up. I saw the show twice without the use of Mark Twain which is used for the finale. During the finale if the Mark Twain is being used the audience will see the Disney characters standing on it waving the pom poms to the song as it floats by on the water. If the Mark Twain is under refurb all the same characters will come out on to the Island and wave the pom poms and do some choreographed movement, which is not as exciting. I HIGHLY doubt the would put the Columbia under refurb while Fantasmic plays because they would have to drop the whole Peter Pan sequence, and that could have some major reprecussions. Could you really see Peter Pan and Hook fighting on the Mark Twain riverboat?

Fantasmic! goes down Sept. 7. It's last show will be on the 6th. We are hoping for it to come back up by Nov. 13th. That is the day the techs. have given the castmembers who work the show every night. This all depends on how fast they can get the columbia finished. So the date is tenitive.

So with Fantasmic down for awhile does that mean the Mark Twain will continue to run during the evening. I haven't had a night voyage on the Twain for a very long time.

The current schedule has the Mark Twain's last trip at 5:45 PM nightly, so no night cruises... Alas, budget issues......
