Since this has been an issue in a couple threads, when do YOU consider the summer season to be, where Disneyland and scheduling refurbishments go?
I say Labor Day weekend is the last weekend of summer. But since most schools now start before then, it seems that "summer" may end sooner than Labor Day. So what do you consider "summer" for Disneyland?

I would say summer starts about 2 weeks after Memorial Day and ends just before or right after Labor Day depending on how the dates fall in September.

For myself Summer at DL is Memorial Day til Labor Day. The one season I won't go to DL.

I agree with the 'Memorial Day to Labor Day' thing. Thats a pretty general summertime to me.

For DL, there are a good portion of schools not on year-round who are discharged about June 10th-ish.
Then, they go back to school about September 10th-ish.
(YMMV.)

I would say that the first week in june until the first week in september would be the qualifing times for summer.

Before that and after that a lot of rides always close for refurbishment.
The Haunted Mansion has been that way for the last three years.

My summer holidays start at the end of July and I go back to school at the beginning of September.

I always considered summer to be from the first week of June until the first week of Sebtember becuase that's what summer is for most of the schools (elementary through highschool that is).

Disney starts adding hours in early June, and went to peak Summer hours on Friday June 18th...

The first cutback in hours and entertainment for the end of summer will be Monday August 30th (park closes earlier, and no Fantasmic!).

Summer is when my kids are out of school. This year, June 12 through August 30, inclusive.
