As part of our AAA ticket package we got a coupon book with a 20% coupon for A Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour as well as the Red Carpet Experience tour.

The Red Carpet is 1/2 the price, but doesn't include lunch. We already have "VIP" seats for Aladdin as well so that the Red Carpet tour doesn't look overly exciting.

So, is it worth saving 20% and going on the Walk tour, or should we instead do the new Discover The Magic tour at full price?

Our kids are 10 (boy) and 7 (girl). We've been to Disneyland with the kids twice now (3 and 2 years ago) so they've seen a lot of the park(s), but we've never done a tour.

Thanks for any suggestions.

If your kids like characters, they might enjoy the Discover the Magic (http://www.mouseplanet.com/more/mm040610lp.htm) tour.

Red Carpet is good for first timers as it gives you an overview of both parks, Downtown Disney, the hotels and two FastPasses per person.

I loved the Walk in Walt's tour, but I don't know if your kids will enjoy it that much (you might want to wait and do it with your SO.)

Since you have the coupon, I would do Red Carpet over Walt. If money doesn't matter I would do Discover the Magic over Red Carpet.

If you come back around Xmas, you can do the Holiday Time (http://www.mouseplanet.com/more/mm031211sl.htm) Tour (my favorite).
