When upgrading to a Deluxe Annual Pass from a Park Hopper pass, is the one year date retroactive to the first day you use your Park Hopper or from the day you upgrade?

It "should" be the first day you used your hopper. BUT that is not always the case. When we upgraded to AP's from hoppers they dated it for the day we upgraded.

^ Basically what happens is, the CM who processes your AP needs to go into the computer, and change the date from the current date, to the first day you used your ParkHopper, but sometimes they forget to do it.... If that happens, yes you could get an extra week or two (since ParkHoppers have a 14 day shelf life....)

But the official policy is, a year from the first day you used your ParkHopper.

what about when you upgrad from one AP to another AP....do they start the year over or give you a break on the price of the upgrade?

When you upgrade an AP (Say from SoCal to Deluxe), you keep the same original expiration date, no matter when you decide to upgrade. And you pay the full difference from what you paid for the AP, to the new AP price....
