Tower of Terror? You accelerate from 0-160 km in 7 seconds, curve straight up a 38 story tower, then freefall back to the station... oh, you mean THAT Tower of Terror. It's an oversized Kiddie ride in a box (with some fun effects)

There have been several threads discussing the ride around the time that it opened. They should give you a good idea of people's first impressions of the Tower.

I loved it, my sister loved it, my 10 yr. old nephew loved it! The 6 yr. old nephew definitely did not love it...he was wimpering a bit when we got off the attraction. It turns out that he thought that we/he might have been transported into the twilight zone.

I think the attaction is a "little" scary and super cool. I have been on it 3 times. The theming and special affects are awesome!

Being from NorCal myself, it's definitely worth the trip to SoCal! :)

Thanks Toad......my son's 9 and in that willing to try rides stage. My godson is 12 and says he's scared of drop rides......I'm hoping to get them both on it!! It's not a "traditional" type of drop ride though right?

No, it is not a traditional drop ride. It drops, you see special affects, stops and shakes, and the doors open to the outside. You definitely feel the drop affect, but not straight down all at once. I think it kind of stops and jerks about 2 or 3 times. It almost reminds me of what dropping on a bungee cord might feel like at one point where it kind of bounces back up.

Momtowolf: My 3 year old is 40 inches, and we took her on ToT this weekend. She is super brave where rides are concerned, but didnt like this. She didnt cry..but said all weekend.."Im NOT going on that again! I dont want to go on the ride where that man says say bye bye to the real world.." it was kind of cute...
