Okay.. If Disneyland opens at 8:00am, is that the time of the rope drop?

What time should I get there to see it?

Do I get early entry privileges if I'm a guest at a Disney Property?

Last I heard, there was a rope-drop if the parks were opening at 9 (Main St open at 8) but no drop if they were opening at 8. I'm not certain if this is still true.

Last summer there was no rope drop for 8:00am openings.

For 8 AM park openings there is no rope drop held. For the 9 & 10 AM park openings, Main Street will open 30 minutes prior, with a rope drop at the listed park opening. And I'm not 100% positive, but I believe that 9 AM openings that are after a Grad Nite don't have rope drops as well.

Guests at Disney hotels have no early entry privileges to either park.

Okie Dokie.
Thanks for the replies everyone.

I guess we'll just get there at 8:00 and head for Peter Pan without the benefit of the Rope Drop.

Better check on the refurb list. As of this past Sunday, Peter Pan was closed for refurbishment. It is scheduled to reopen this Saturday May 29.

Thanks for the heads up, but we're not going until the end of June.. starting the 28th.
