I see alot of people posting about the great deals they get at hotels with their Annual Passports. I have a socal AP and I am just wondering how you get the discounts. Do you call hotels directly or is there a website somewhere? Are the discounts only for the resort hotels, or the surrounding area as well? How do you find the deals? Thanks!

Typically they are listed in the AP Newsletter you should be receiving as an AP. However, the distribution of this is sometimes erratic. The website MouseSavers (http://www.mousesavers.com) keeps updated listings of discounts for both DL and WDW. You can also sign up for their monthly e-mail newsletter to receive regular updates.

MousePlanet's Disneyland Update (http://www.mouseplanet.com/parkupdates/dlr/index.htm) also lists many current discounts and promotions. here's a link (http://www.mouseplanet.com/parkupdates/dlr/dlr040315.htm#Discounts) to this week's update's discounts & promotions. Scroll to find AP info.

I don't remember ever hearing about a discount being offered to APs by non-resort hotels, but if they do, either Mousesavers or Mouseplanet will probably have the scoop on it.
