View Full Version : What's the current method for getting a PAP?

We have a couple of friends who are joining us for MouseAdventure this month and want to get PAPs for their entry. Since we've been PAPs for several years now, renewing by mail, we haven't kept up with the way they're doing the PAPs now.

Where will they need to get them, outside at Guest Services or where? Will it be a voucher thing they need to do something with at a location within DL itself or something different?

Many thanks in advance for the info, so we can have an easier MouseAdventure morning!

The only location that takes pictures is the Plaza Pavillion at the Hub, so no matter what, you will end up standing in line there....

You can buy the Pass at any Main Entry Plaza ticket window or online at Disneyland.com. You will get a "ticket" that will let you into the park, and then you will redemn it for the actual AP at the Plaza Pavillion.

Another option is to upgrade, right now, the best deal on tickets is the AAA Passport Plus, you get some goodies, like front of the line passes for Aladdin, a $10 ESPN Zone game card, and a discount coupon booklet, then just upgrade at the Plaza Pavillion. The 5 day ticket at AAA is $129, so you would pay $96 more at the Plaza Pavillion for the Premium AP...

Oh they don't do it at the bank anymore?

They haven't offered AP processing at the Bank for months now... And City Hall has moved into the Bank (and the Opera House exit).

You can renew an AP at Guest Services in the Main Entry Plaza, though it can be a wait, as I found out last Sunday, took about 45 minutes in line to renew.... But the only choice is to use your photo on file, as they do not have cameras...

If you are getting a new AP, you will end up at the AP Processing center located at the Plaza Pavillion, no matter how you purchase your AP.

The PAPs we're talking about are for our friends, who currently have no ticket media at all. They figured since they'd be buying a ticket to get in anyway, they might as well make it an annual passport.

I know you can use the price of the regular ticket towards a PAP, is there a reason to do it that way, rather than just buy the PAP to begin with?

Can you get the voucher at the ticket window by the monorail? That one never seems to be busy whenever we've taken the monorail into Disneyland.

Thanks for the info so far!

The reason to do it the way Darkbeer suggested is because if you do that AAA deal, you get some other stuff with the ticket (ESPN Zone cards and coupon books). Otherwise, there isn't really any reason to do it that way.

Yes. You can buy the PAP there, but then you have to go to the processing center in Disneyland sometime that day to have it processed and get their card with their picture.

Another reason to start with regular Park Hoppers is that you can go directly to MouseAdventure and then take care of upgrading to PAPs later in your visit.

True. However, buying a PAP at the ticket booth, entering the park to play Mouseadventure, then upgrading after Mouseadventure would work also.
