Hello, I am going to Disneyland and California Adventure on March 16 and 17. Does anyone know anything about the crowds on St. Patricks Day? Also, which park would be better to visit on that day? (I plan to get a hopper, regardless.) Lastly, does either park do anything special for St. Patricks Day? Thank you and have a great week! :D

I would not expect it to be very crowded during the day because it's a Wednesday. The DtD establishments may be more crowded in the evening with party-goers.

A couple of years ago, when St. Pat's was on a weekend, we ran a story about St. Patrick's Day (http://www.mouseplanet.com/more/stpatrick.htm) at the Resort but there wasn't much that was specific to St. Pat's that year.

When I was a kid, St. Patrick's Day was a traditional "Catholic School Day" at Disneyland. It was pretty crowded back then. Of course that was in the 70s. Don't know if they still have those!

The Catholic schools I know of don't get St. Patricks Day off anymore.

Darn. That's a shame. We used to have so much fun!
