Does anyone know where I can buy these at Disneyland? I didn't do a good enough job at WDW last week (my Mom did it) and I want to get another box to make sure I get all the parts. Is it at the World of Disney at downtown Disney?

I believe the Mr Potato Head bar is at Engine Ears Toys in DCA (someone correct me if I'm wrong:D ). It's really cute - I looked at it last time, and now I wish I'd gotten one. Something for next time...

:crying: The P'head my son got in the suitcase, from Vacation Planning had more Disney parts than they had at the P'bar in DCA. Luckily he let me ummm.. borrow some of his parts for mine (mine is sitting on my desk at work). Some of the parts he had that I didn't were a mouse ears hat and different shoes that had mickey heads on them (sandals and sneakers).

There was a set in a case for sale for $20 in the AKL shop w/26 parts.

The special pieces I got (my Mom got) at the make your own bar at DD at WDW and then some more at Toon Town in MK (WDW) for $16 were:

Mickey Mouse sunglasses
a MM clock
a Star wand
the Fantasia Mickey hat
a goofy hat
MM yellow shoes
an autograph book
a MM red balloon
a teacup
a Minnie Mouse bow
the WDW sandals w/MM on them

My Mom did it for me, but didn't understand what I wanted out of it, so she filled the box up w/random parts that weren't especially Disney. So, that same day, I had the box & receipt w/me, we went into the shop in Toon Town and they let me put more in the box. I only went 1/4 around the bar bc I felt bad taking extra parts. So, I know I missed the MM ears among others. So, I figured I'd just do it myself when I went to DL this month.

Grandbreaker is teasing - You can't get there unless you are a Cast Member or you know one who will escort you there as their guest. :crying:

Company D is the cast-members-only "Employee Store" backstage - As I understand it, somewhere around Harbor Pointe (the main DL Employee Entrance with the timeclocks) & the Old Administration building (that is wrapped around the Primieval World Diorama and the DLRR train tracks).

Here are the pieces I can remember seeing at DCA:

Mouse ears
the Fantasia Mickey hat
MM yellow shoes
an autograph book
a MM red balloon
a teacup
a movie camera (don't remember if it was "Disneyfied" in any way)

I've only been there a couple of times so this is probably an incomplete list.

The camera has ears. There is also an autograph book.

There's also one of those MM ice cream-on-a-stick things.

Bruce: Company D moved a while back. It's now in a (fairly unmarked) offsite location close to the stadium.

You might want to check Pieces of Eight for the POTC potato parts box set. They had it at WDW for only $6. It's fun too - comes with a peg leg, cutlass, hat, parrot, eyepatch, and something else that I can't recall at the moment. :D

Unfortunately, the Pirates Parts and the Adventureland (Cowboy) Parts sets were discontinued at Disneyland.

They were SO DARN COOL! I wanted to see them do other lands & attractions - Tomorrowland Parts, Haunted Mansion Parts, etc etc etc.

Unfortunately, it was another case where Disneyland tried to sell something without telling a story. How so? They didn't bother selling the actual Mr. Potato Head in the same location. So you were just supposed to see this small cardboard box tucked in among other toys and "get" that it was to go with the Mr. Potato Head that you may or may not already own?

In the one location where they sold the potato AND both sets of the parts, they often sold all three together. The other two locations that had *just* one of the parts - and no potato - didn't sell them well at all. And they NEVER sold the parts in DCA, where they actually had the Potato Bar.

Go figure. I am SO SICK of them only offering a partial collection / statement, and then discontuing the item because it doesn't sell. Of COURSE it doesn't sell - nobody knows what the heck it is, or how to use / coordinate it!

Ugh, now you're making me really mad that I didn't pick them both up. I saw them both the other week at WDW. And I KNEW what they were. Oh well.

They had the fronteir parts at Fort Wilderness, too.
