Any ideas? I'm bizarre, so:

1. "Crazy Cable Vans" on PeopleMover/RocketRod track?
You wait for them all day, and they come at 5PM, only to say that they're work day is over and you should reschedule.

2. "Honey, I Broke the Cable Box!"
Pandemonium breaks loose when a family can't watch TV, forcing them to play cards, charades, hide-and-go-seek, etc. Interactive with the audience. Includes big snow finale -- the static kind.

3. "Invoice-entions" features the various imaginative ways to increase one's cable bill. Both legally and illegally.

4. Pay-Per-Ride for Tower of Terror. Only for the first few months.

5. "Alice's Adventures on CustomerServiceResponseSystem." Ride a big phone as you try to move forward by pressing the right numbers.

OK, I'm tapped.

"The Black Box"

A turbulent, high-speed, rollercoaster ride in the dark past flickering images of first-run movies, HBO, and porn, with a jailhouse rock finale.

An audioanimatronic "Cable Guy". Scan your AP and he will interact with you, using your personal information.

How about "Guess what country your tech support call is going to?" An interactive exhibit with a huge AT&T style network display that traces your tech support call to either Canada or India!

Wooooohooo!

Nah, just typical cable horror stories. They're all bad. Near monopolies can get that way.

All cable companies will do everything in their power to keep jacking the bills up, legal or less-than-legal - they have a captive audience, in many cases they are the only game in town, and they know it.

Apartment residents and and condo owners often have restrictions on putting up their own antennas and dishes, and many smaller communities have at best one or two over-the-air channels available that are strong enough to get with only rabbit ears. The Los Angeles area is spoiled, with dozens - but only if you don't live in a deep canyon...

The only thing that saves certain towns is the cable companies are a regulated monopoly - meaning that strong city governments allow them to operate in a certain franchise area, and can control the pricing and terms of their service.

Cities that play hardball with the cable companies and hold the line can keep the rates somewhat stable - or allow a second system to overbuild the area and get a little healthy competition started. Though that won't work everywhere, because you need some serious population density to make it financially worthwhile to overbuild a second cable system.

There are stories all the time about cities forcing cable rate rollbacks and restoral of basic services (that were cut to a premium tier offering), and threatening to pull the franchise if they didn't start following the letter of their contract...

But the people living in cities or unincorporated areas where they have no control or weak control over the cable companies, you're in trouble... Any further discussions about this sub-topic really belongs on the Business of Magic pages or somewhere else, so I'll stop now.

It's like that out here. Our rates are lower than many other areas. We also have the choice between two companies, Comcast and Time Warner. :|

Imagine hearing this on a Disneyland tour:
"And, if you'll follow me, ladies and gentlemen, you will see the beautiful centerpiece to Disneyland... Sleeping Beauty's Comcastle."

The Disneyland Railroad will be free for the first stop but $5 for each additional stop. With each stop you will get a bunch of other rides you're not interested in at all.

The Comcast Railroad will be arriving at the station anywhere between 9:30am to 4pm. But you must be present or the train won't stop and it will take another two weeks for it to come back.

The winds have knocked down the park. A technician will be available sometime next week to look at it. Once he gets there, he will flip a couple of switches, then tell you that a part needs to be ordered and you will be billed for a 5 day Park Hopper Pass just for attempting to visit the park.

You ride Snow White's Scary Adventures, the door to the cottage opens, the evil old witch hag is there and she offers you to take a cursed black box from her hand...

New mnemonics -

SM – Splash Merger
POC – Pirates of the Cablebeing
HM – Haunted Monopoly
JC – Jungle Cable
HISTA – Honey I Shrunk the Acquisition
ST – Star Tube
IASW – It’s a Small Wideband
RRCS – Roberts Radical Comcast Spin
DLRR – Disney Loses Railroad to Roberts
MHM – Mater Hostile Mountain
MT – Mark Takeover
CSS – Cable Service Ship

The gate price is $XX when you enter the park. Since then it has increased by $3. Please pay the $3 to exit or remain inside the sub lagoon cave until able to do so. Those that resist will be detained inside IASW. ( apologies to the Kingston Trio and Charley of the MTA );)

A new cottage industry springs up, complete with the inevitable Spam email, offering "Guaranteed all access park hopper passes FREE!!!". To get one, send cash or money order. When you finally receive it, it works for three days and then fails mysteriously.

Disneycast begins programming the turnstiles to "bullet" the pirate passports, and employs a new "theft prevention unit" of Security to randomly scan entrance media once inside the park.

You can get onto an attraction, no problem, as they charged you the 'fee' at the door...

BUT...half way through the ride stops and it is announced, that you will have to remain seated where you are and wait until next Tuesday when a technician can come between the hours of 12 and 4 to get the ride started again.:(

Oh...and their might be an additional fee if he actually has to touch wiring in or around your ride vehicle. :(

Fantasmic! is now pay per view. If you don't pay for it and try to watch it, the water fans appear scrambled.

Pal Mickey III
Pal Mickey Family
Pal Mickey Sports
Pal Mickey for Women
Pal Mickey Spike (for men)
Pal Mickey Home and Garden
Pal Mickey Telemundo

...but with that long white coax cable attached to his back, you really can't go very far...

Hahaha... you can hear that Fantasmic is running, and even get a glimpse of movement, but w/out paying for rental of special "descrambling" glasses, it'll all be a blur. Oh, and they'll keep charging you the rental fee unless you bring back the glasses and tell them you don't want to rent them any more. This is also true for any free viewing specials where you get the first show free, but unless you cancel, you will pay for the second show.

...or better yet - Honey I Can't Watch The Television - an interactive show where the main theme is disappointment and frustration over having a cable signal go out, and there is no other way to receive TV stations. Highlights include special effects like electric sparks as the father tries to determine if anything is wrong with the cable box, and a 3-d telephone receiver flying at you as the mother throws the phone in frustration over attempting to contact customer service.

For those of you wanting to know how bad Comcast cable is, go to www.ripoffreport.com and do a search on Comcast. I'll bet over 25 hits come up. I know I submitted one. They ripped me off bad on my package and didn't want to give the channels they promised me.
