Everyone keeps saying 2005...but does the celebration start on January 1st or July 17th? Will they open all the "special" attractions at once?

I just thought of this considering that we are now within a year of 2005.

Usually when Disney is going to celebrate an Anniversary they start the previous October. In this case that would mean this October(2004). However, since Disneyland is woefully ill-prepared for the celebration, I imagine they will push it back as far as possible---July 17th may just be when the festivities start. I just hope they have the Park "neat and pretty" by then:)

Ha! - no matter the state of preparations, the official celebrations of Disneyland's 50th Year will certainly start no later than January 1, 2005 - when plenty of banners decorating Main Street will be at the ready.

Since not much more than that is even planned for the 50th, I'd say we're all ready to go on New Years Day 2005.

Thanks. Yeah, right. Since this is the same reliable source who filled my head with visions of fireworks exploding over the Disneyland Hotel on New Year's Eve, I fully expect the 50th Anniversary celebration to begin tomorrow, with no notice.

I eagerly await the Disneyland's 50 Birthday Commemerative window box on Main Street. The Walt's 100th was such a delight, I can't imagine them topping it.

Cemeinke-:~D :p :D . They will probably make the 50 b-day commemerative window box bigger, brighter with lots a glue or tape , that everyone can see it from any spot in the park!
