As reported by Westsider at LaughingPlace.com, Columbia's pistons froze up, and while still part of Fantasmic! (due to a workboat pushing it), the only way around the island for guests righht now is the Canoes, since the Mark Twain remains in dry dock...

It's 11:30am and I just got back from the Park about 15 minutes ago. The Columbia is sailing around the Rivers of America..... with no riders. The CM's are standing at the dock turnstiles telling everyone that the Columbia will be "Undergoing tests for the rest of the day", and that the attraction "may reopen later this week". So yes, the Columbia is technically "sailing" again. But you can't ride on it.

And it looks like it's going to be another REALLY BUSY day at Disneyland today! The lines to get in stretched all the way across the Esplanade, and there were a lot of office workers and "suits" out helping to check bags while the regular CM's manned the turnstiles. It was crazy, and getting crazier all over the Park. But for the first hour of my early morning stroll it was very festive with all of the decorations and the brisk and unexpectedly sunny morning.

I love the mornings when the Park opens at 8:00am because you can always tell that most of the people there are excited tourists from out of state. They just get so excited about stuff, it's fun to watch!

Actually, I believe it is a battleship - or was it an aircraft carrier?

Apparently the Columbia was SAILING all day on the 31st, but the Mark Twain was dry docked all day and thus wasn't in Fantasmic, unfortunately.

So if the Mark Twain wasn't in Fantasmic!, what did they do for the finale?

^ The entertainers come out to the Tom Sawyer stage and use the stage for the finale, then leave just prior to the fireworks.

Sounds kinda lame, if you ask me.
