Has anyone attended this replacement for the Mad T Party in DCA? Impressions? Is it a DJ only instead of a live band? What type of tunes? I kinda liked the Mad T Party, sure they basically played the same song set list every night, but it was fun. I also miss the live 80s band at Tomorrowland Terrance. I felt live music was nice diversion from all the Dizzyland action

Me too! I hoped they would move the bands to another venue. Nope. Now my hope is when SWL is done they'll move the Jedi training over there and give us back TLT and the bands.

I used to live for those bands on the Tomorrowland Terrace. It was the only place a young kid like me could see live music back in the late 60's. I remember one visit where I was there for every set of the day. It got to where as the stage came up I'd get a head nod from the girl lead singer as she saw me still there - very very cool to a 14 year old boy!

totally agree with you. I also saw some great bands there. I even remember getting to see Dizzy Gilesspe there during the Jazz weekend back in the 80's. and I really miss that one band called surburban legends that used to play back there a few years back

I shared photos of the Jammin' set in today's Disneyland Update (https://www.mouseplanet.com/11448/Disneyland_Resort_Update_for_June_13__19_2016).

It's bad. It's really, really, really bad. I don't usually get that opinionated, but it's really bad.

BTW, Suburban Legends (http://www.suburbanlegends.com/) just released an album.

The first summer that I worked at Disneyland, I was scheduled at Tomorrowland Terrace. I always loved the night shifts there. Not only was it cooler than working during the heat of the day, but there was a good chance that I would be assigned to the back area of the stage. It was always fun pushing the button to raise the stage and listening to the music while working. I also got to know some of the band, since I saw them most nights and would hang out i the break area.

Whoa! That is 3 "really"s....four if you count the last one. Strange that Mad T Party wasn't present with the release of the film just now. Sounds like it is a big place holder. Yeeeeesh!

I laughed when I read the write up. The picture you took of the stage reminds me of every tv show that has ever had the characters go see a motivational speaker.

the view totally smacks of "just put something out there. Don't spend a lot - people will come because its Disney and there is booze". The desire to save money seems to be strong here.
