It looks like Disneyland is ready to make another test of pre-show registration for Jedi Training Academy. This has been in place at Walt Disney World for quite some time, and was tested last month at Disneyland. A manager said they learned from that first test, so it will be interesting to see how tomorrow's test differs.

You can pre-register children between the ages of 4 and 12 at a kiosk outside of the Little Green Men Store Command in Tomorrowland (the pin trading store at the exit of Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters (http://www.mouseplanet.com/guide/578/Disneyland-Resort/Disneyland-Park/Tomorrowland/Buzz-Lightyear-Astro-Blasters)). Pre-registration is first-come, first-serve, while space remains. Pre-registration opens at 8:00 a.m., and the kiosk closes at 1:00, though the shows will likely be full before that.

You must have your child with you to pre-register - no registering for a child who is "coming later." Once you register, they'll tell you when and where to return for the show.

As far as we know, this test is Sunday only.

I like the idea in theory. (As a Mom who has sat through several JTA shows, back to back, for my little padawans to get chosen) Looking forward to hearing how it work out in the real world.

I like this idea. It's tough to watch one son get chosen while the other isn't.

Too bad they didn't have this last year when my niece really wanted to do it. We went to several shows and she never got chosen. She's not into Darth Vader anymore, so we stopped trying.

Any updates on this? I'll be in Disneyland this weekend (Oct 15-17). Do I need to register my kids for Jedi Training Academy?
