wow... and the "special experiences" keep coming. These were discussed a couple of years ago in rumors and hypotheticals, and then I remember George Kalogridis once mentioning that this is how expanded things would come to the parks. I just didn't realize how much investment would be needed to take advantage of these special experiences.

Super expensive though. Definitely not for the average day guest.

Wow... on one hand, what an opportunity (are they actually going to set up tables on the African Veldt, I wonder?), but on the other, $300 for juice, scones and bacon and a short stint behind the wheel (along with everyone else who paid for it that morning) is a hefty hit to the wallet...

That is pricey! I know nothing at Disneyland is cheap but that's beyond expensive. It costs more than a day at the park. Funny that they will escort you out of the park so you can wait in line to get back in.

But you don't have to have admission at all, which is a nice option for some too.

Is it possible that this is what they wanted the "Tahitian terrace" fire permit for?

And there's a Halloween party dining experience announced too

This sounds super crazy expensive. Cool, but yikes! However, it does make me think of my Jungle Cruise loving Dad who has always seen himself as a potential skipper. It may be an ultimate present for him.

I want to do this SOOOOOOO badly! But I can not really drop $300 right now!

I asked DH if this could be my Christmas present this year, he said, "sure, if you go by yourself!" :p

If you can afford that breakfast I don't think the admission cost is an issue.

Do they eat out in the ride somewhere?

I find it very interesting to see the high end offerings....you got to have them as there is a market for that. I just can't get my head around paying 300 bucks AND getting up that early. For breakfast. I mean dinner is a different story . I guess the perk is getting to BE in the Jungle Cruise....I am interested in hearing how it pans out because I don't think I would do it even if I had the dough. Of course if you really haven't noticed....I am mad.....

I have said before that the market will be there. Those that can afford it will see this as an activity they did not think of before simply because the price point fits in their budgets. It becomes noticed.

Definitely tempted to do this one.

I think the same thing about the Blue Bayou Halloween prix fixe. That anyone willing to pay $150 for 3 courses isn't going to have much issue with the additional party cost. But for someone who has already bought a 5 day ticket and isn't going to upgrade to an AP, they have something to do in the park without using a day on their ticket.

Not really terribly informative, but I find it interesting that Disneyland's website is listing the Jungle Cruise African Veldt as a "table service" restaurant, separate from the Jungle Cruise Breakfast Experience, though they both lead to the same page (for the breakfast experience). I am super curious to know where the breakfast takes place!

If it says African veldt then u will be dining with the gnu, giraffes, and sleeping zebras with tongues sticking out.

I immediately imagined the waiter asking,
"How would you like your carrion? -- Before or after your personal table vulture has carved it up?"
