Blaine was one of the primary Imagineers who helped build Disneyland. He passed away today at 97.

Mouseplanet's tweeted out some former stories about the Partners Statue that Blaine created.

and there's lots of history info out there. He was one of the greats. I remember during the Pirates 40th anniversary he was signing merch and cards in a big old Pirates hat. Still having fun at all ages.

I'm really sad about this one. A photo of the Partners statue is on my desk as I type this, and I've been getting all teary just looking at it.

RIP Blaine. You were one of the greatest of the greats.

One of our most treasured Disney memorabilia is a small bronze Partners Statue we purchased a couple of years back.

Did he also do the one for DCA?

May he rest in peace. I love my Partners Statue figure.
