Gluttons that we are, we're planning yet another trip to Disneyland, Dec 13-17. I know that the Napa Rose Sunday Brunch stopped running a while back, but I remember reading a rumor that it would come back for the holiday crowds. Has anyone heard anything more about this? We would really love to try this if there's any chance it will reappear.

Last time I asked about it a couple of weeks ago, there were no plans to bring it back. They'll have special holiday meals, but no regular brunch planned. Bummer.

Nuts! Any suggestions on other special breakfast/brunch locations? Usually we do concierge and don't have to worry about finding breakfast spots.

Right next door at Storytellers.

Nothing on the scale of Napa Rose, but a few ideas:

As mentioned, Storyteller does offer a lovely breakfast, with a choice of the breakfast buffet (which has a lot of good offerings) or ordering a la carte. Technically, it's a character breakfast, but they're not intrusive at all as the three characters (Chip, Dale and Pluto) pretty much stay in the lobby area. I still haven't gotten around to writing the review from our trip this past September (which will actually contain pictures), but here's a link (http://www.colddeadfish.net/dlrrests/storyteller121402.html) to my review from our trip last December. There's also a link in there to the current breakfast menu. One thing that's not mentioned in that review which our server told us in September - anything offered a la carte for breakfast is available if you order the breakfast buffet. For instance, oatmeal and pancakes (not together - ewwww) are not out in the breakfast bar, but if you want either or both, just ask your server.

If you want a really simple breakfast, you can always try Whitewater Snacks. Here is their current menu (http://colddeadfish.net/dlrrests/whitewatermenu.html).

For a bit more substantial breakfast, but simpler than Storyteller, I'd recommend the Uva Bar at Catal Restaurant. Here's a link (http://www.colddeadfish.net/catal/cataluvabarbreakfastmenu.html) to their current breakfast menu, and here's a link (http://www.colddeadfish.net/catal/tapasbar091103.html) to a review of breakfast.

Hook's Pointe serves breakfast, but I think they've moved over to the Granville's location by Goofy's Kitchen. Anyway, here's a link (http://www.colddeadfish.net/dlrrests/hookspointebreakfastmenu.html) to their breakfast menu.

There's also Plaza Inn inside Disneyland Park, which has a good menu and is a character breakfast with the 100 Acre Woods characters and one extraneous friend.

Rainforest also offers a pretty good breakfast.

La Brea Bakery also offers breakfast, but the offers and prices have never appealed to me, so I've never eaten there.

I believe PCH Grill offers a character breakfast as well, though I've had such bad experiences at that location lately that I'm not sure I'm ever going back.

And of course, Goofy's Kitchen offers a character breakfast.

Thanks for the suggestions. There's a couple there we will probably try. (particularly Whitewater Snacks; we're going to enjoy that being close by.)

We really enjoyed La Brea Bakery's take-out/quick service breakfast and brunch offerings. We ate there all days but one on our trip back in April. We'd get pastries, bacon (they also have scrambled eggs), espresso drinks and fresh fruit and sit outside to people watch while we enjoyed our meal. Very reasonable prices.

Had we been traveling w/o kid (s), we would have tried the sit down portion of the restaurant. The menu sounded really delish, but we didn't want to spend a lot of time on our morning meal, as that's our daughter's best active time.

Enjoy your trip!
