I hold fond thoughts for all the Mousepadders and invite them to join the Disneyland tribute to say a silent prayer for those in need at this time.

Will there be any ceremony at the DLR? I'd love to go.

There was a Moment of Silence at the park today. I'll be writing about it, and the other efforts the Disney company employees are making, for a column Monday.

Good column today AVP. I was at the flag ceremony on Saturday and it was great to see all the CMs out there. They seemed to be making a real effort to be seen (standing on the train platform, etc.). Of course, there were also lots of guests and it was important, I think, to share these moments together.

Ditto all that eandc said--

However, I was very distressed to see many of the pin traders in the corner by the hat shop failing to look up or even stand to show the flag respect while the National Anthem was played ( I was standing on the train platform and had a good view of everything going on. ) The flag was escorted right past them, for pete's sake. That is indefensible--especially for people who visit the park so frequently and know exactly what is going on.

Ditto what eandc and lisap said...I was there, too. It was good to see people pay respect (except for the inexcusable few lisap referred to) in such a time of sorrow in our nation. It was an especially powerful moment given what had happened on Tuesday.
