This Announcement (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?218488-Special-Treats-for-Mother%92s-Day-at-Disneyland%A0Resort) mentions some special food items for Mother's Day.

One item mentioned is a Jambalaya skewer. Jambalaya is a rice dish. How do they put a rice dish on a skewer?

bunch it up, slather it with batter, and deep fry it! (no, I really don't know). THey probably did not want to call it Cajun or New Orleans. Gee - maybe Jerk Chicken instead?

I'm guessing the chicken and sausage on a skewer either without the rice or with the rice on the side.

You get the "put the rice on the skewer" job when you are late to work. ;)

Do they even HAVE rice at Bengal BBQ?

I guess you're only late once, Candles!

Probably not. I was thinking of the place in DCA. It could be no rice at all, just chicken and sausage.

Can't wait for a Padder to get it and report back :) I'm imagining chicken, sausage, bell pepper maybe shrimp?

It was the image that popped into my head. Thought I'd share. :)

Well, they didn't call them Jambalaya skewers at the restaurant - just 'Mother's Day Special'. It was sausage (2 pieces) shrimp (2) bell peppers (red and green), onion, and tomato. The sausage was fairly spicy, but not inedible to me, though if you weren't a spice person (mostly pepper), it might have been too much. I don't think it had any specific sauce added, so the shrimp and veggies tasted like shrimp and veggies!
