We recently told you (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2015/03/new-smokejumpers-grill-opens-march-20-part-of-grizzly-peak-expansion-at-disney-california-adventure-park/) about the new expansion of Grizzly Peak at Disney California Adventure (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/destinations/disney-california-adventure/?CMP=SOC-DPFY15Q2SmokejumpersGrillOpensTodayatDisneyCalifor niaAdventurePark0001) park, and today we’re excited to open the all-new Smokejumpers Grill. This new quick-service location is the first phase of the Grizzly Peak Airfield addition to this land, in the space formerly known as Condor Flats. As you can see in these photos, Smokejumpers Grill honors the brave men and women who fight wildfires in our California forests. Take a closer look in the gallery below.

Is this where the pilot's hangar grill was next to Soarin?

Yes, formerly called Taste Pilots Grill.

I'm interested to know if the Paradise Garden Grill is returning to Mediterranean food- they've been burgers & fries (and not bad ones!) ever since Taste Pilots closed and a CM there thought *maybe* they'd switch back when the replacement-taste-pilots opened, but no promises.

Maybe answering my own question, the Disney Dining page, which has the Smokejumpers menu up, also shows skewers and gyro platter for the Paradise GG! Not that I know what it said yesterday, but they definitely had the burgers listed back in January.

I just tweeted Disneyland a couple hours ago when it was announced that this place was open, and they responded that yes, the skewers are back at Paradise Grill.

I totally agree. I was so disappointed when I discovered in January that they were serving the burgers. Disneyland responded to my tweet at the time that it was temporary while Taste Pilots was being worked on, so I've been waiting for them to come back.

I'm disappointed that they got rid of the blue cheese burger. That was so good! We were hoping that they would bring back the ribs too. Bummer!

Oh yes! DS13 and I checked it out on Friday and I eyeballed the décor closely. Smokejumpers Grill has a couple of bulletin boards - just sayin'. :p

The one item I want to check out is the Heathkit Ham 2 meter Transceiver! That's Interesting!

thanks for posting the menu boards. Although I didn't see bottled water on the drink menu

Disney's kid friendly food:

"Served with choice of small Lowfat milk or small Dasani water. Minute Maid Juice box, small Nesquik Chocolate Milk, or Fries substituted upon request."

Then next to each kid meal it says, "with sliced apples and carrots."

Interesting that they no longer offer to substitute a child soft drink. I don't let my kids drink soda, but I know many people do. I know previously it did allow for a soda substitution. Also, I think the Kid's Power Pack is a rip-off. I bring many of those things into the park for my kids already and that is a premium price for some yogurt and crackers.

You can get soda - its just not advertised on the menu board. Public way of showing they fully support healthy dining.

Me too, I was just surprised because when we were in the parks in December (maybe September) I saw soda listed as a switch and this menu board doesn't mention. My daughter doesn't know it's an option (she only has soda at birthday parties when served), she usually gets the juice if we buy a kids' meal. Sometimes she'll ask for chocolate milk, which has as much sugar as soda but not the rest of the problems, and usually I'll let her have it. We don't drink milk at home either, but I'm not against her having it. It's interesting the way they write the kids' menu, you can still choose the fries, etc., but you'd have to read the menu to know. Maybe they figure young readers won't notice leaving the choice up to the parents. :)

Me too. Alsoffers if it is really just Monterey jack cheese or pepper jack. I have had that happen too many times, I think I'm getting Monterey jack only to have pepper jack show up on my sandwich. I can't wait to try it though!
