When DL has the Saturday night Jump, Jive Boogie Swing Party, does the band play the same set every show, or do they mix things up? How about Billy Hill?

Also, the consensus seems to be to sit in the front of The Mezz. for Alladin, but if you'll be back several rows, will there be an unobstructed view of the parts of the show that go into the audience (elephant, etc.)? Or, if such is the case, is it better to sit downstairs?

Thanks.

I don't hang around there very much, but I'd imagine they do mix it up - there are many different bands that work those evenings in a loose rotation, and I suspect they all have pretty deep playlists.

How about Billy Hill?

If it's the "Fab Four" Billies playing (Kirk, Dennis, Evan and John - the four performers that started the group) they will mix it up a little and play different stuff in each show - it may be the same open and close with a song or two in the middle different, or not...

And beware of the snuck in ad-lib lines and musical bits. (Three bars of "Orange Blossom Special" snuck in to see if you are paying attention...) :p They get bored sticking to the exact same script day after day.

If the show has substantial quantities (for values of 'substantial' ranging from one to four) of Fill-In Billies playing, they would tend to put together a show that can be done consistant with the instruments everyone plays and musical strengths of the lineup, and stay with that play-list for the day. It's still good, but more of a "grab-bag".

Downstairs in the Orchestra seats you don't get that good a view of all parts of the stage, and the flying carpet scenes above you are totally wasted.

If you're back a ways into the Mezzanine seats or up in the nosebleed section (Balcony) you can still see the procession as it rounds the bend at the stage, you don't miss much.

The seats in the Mezzanine and Balcony are raked steep enough that you can see the front apron of the stage from anywhere - and in the Balcony you're at (or above...) eye level with Aladdin and Jasmine on the carpet.
