What rides have you been stuck on? Do you have any stories or pictures?

It sucks I have never been stuck on a ride. I would love to be stopped on Space Mountain when they turn the lights on. :D

I was stuck on Peter Pan for about a half hour. My galleon stopped over London. The maintenance guys came lumbering through like Godzilla! With the lights on everything looked really ugly. I remember the "clouds"/"fog" appeared to be big plastic bags.

I have always wanted to get stuck on a ride, but I never have. The closest I came was when they sent us on Pirates with no sound ( I know...it's not really too close to being stuck but it was still fun!). It was actually quite freaky since you could hear the animatronics moving around in the otherwise dead silence.

I've been stopped and evacuated from every Disneyland mountain, got my picture taken with Bones at Indy, and was even evacuated from It's A Small World (thankfully during Small World Holiday) - I'll never forget the first words of the CM who came to escort us

"We've gotta take some of you out"

A few weeks ago, i got stuck with a few friends on California Screamin'. Sat there for 'bout half hour and were let out and had to walk down the stairs. Not very exciting. Sorry. :|

This is seriously my worst nightmare (I'm terrified of heights). Was it scary? How high up were you?

My son and I were stuck for about 20 mins in pitch black... Right in front of the entrance to Hell on Mr Toad's. The husband was in the car in front of us, so he was 3 feet from the unloading area. The fire kept oing, but thank goodness there was a ladder to the roof and the door at te end of the shaft was open so we had cool air wafting down on us.

I felt bad for the little girl (she was 7ish) and her brother (12ish) stuck behind us, also in the black eerie darkness. He was doing ok, but she was beginning to freak out. I found myself trying to calm her.

Nickolas had a blast, but when the CM came to off load us and walk us out I tried to get her to take them first, but she couldn't.

Ever since, each time we ride it, Nick can only go with me, and always tells the CM's on the ride that he does NOT want to "get stuck in the Hot Place again."

Captain EO (the film suddenly stopped and the lights came up--does that count?)
Space (our car tripped the weight sensor before the first lift and we were diverted to "Neverland")
"it's a small world" (I was not part of the infamous "get off in Canada" group but I have been on boats which hit the bottom)
Peter Pan (ride stopped, work lights came on, we were 20 feet in the air in between London and the pirate ship. Took about 20 minutes to get us moving again and when we did it was at "maintenance speed" i.e. really fast.)
Alice (ride stopped, work lights came on, walked off through the service area behind the "painting the roses red" scene. Exited through the door to the left of the Castle restrooms.)
Splash (at WDW! Stuck halfway up the second lift. Eventually started going again.)
Mansion (never been walked off, but have been with numerous SA parties which go through the back of the loop between the debarkation area and the loading area, and back up the elevator or out through the service door in the gallery hallway.)
Pirates (apparently the lift at the end wasn't working; we hit traffic coming into the fort after the pirate ship and waited a while until we were walked off. Exited out the show building into a backstage area near the Indy show building, got turned around and around and eventually passed the CM cafe below the French Market, and exited out the double doors next to the NOS mens' room.)

We stopped in the front area right before you do the up-and-down, wavy thing, (ya, i have super descriptive-skills). There is a set of emergency brakes there. So at least we were on a level area. There were five of us on it so we were yelling across three rows to talk to each other. And we had three friends on the ground. We were yelling to them too. I had a headache and everytime i would raise my voice it would hurt even more.:( It was kinda fun. When the CMs first came up, one said, "We should have you out sometime early tomorrow morning." I asked (loudly) "Do we get a continental breakfast." (It was funny at the time) Also what was funny was when i was on my cell calling to the people on the ground because i didn't want to yell anymore. My friend next to me was poking me trying to get my attention. I turned around and asked "Who's poking me?" Which led to the sarcastic response of, "The other person sitting next to you!" We are a strange group of people who are easily amused. Within twenty minutes i was trying not to laugh because i had to "make tinkle".:D
That's my story.:)

For all of my trips to DL, I've had very few "incidents" with rides.

I was walked off Alice, but only through the tea party part. Boring.

I was walked off of Pirates BEFORE the first drop. Boring.

I've been on a IaSW boat where others were taken our of our boat half wat through (because we were collectively too heavy).

I've had some very wonderful other "sinkings" either on Pirates (Look at that splash!) or IaSW (c'mon, push this boat). On one recent IaSW trip our boat was so heavy and slow that they dispatched all of the boats back at the loading area and were waiting for us to return. LOOOOOOONG ride.

I'm the only one so far who has been stuck on the Monorail? Wow! :fez:

I've also (from what I remember) been stuck on:
Pirates: Right before the first drop (we kept on waiting to go down, but the gates didn't move!)
and Indy (which was preeetttyyyy cool :D)

I was in the left-hand stretch-room in the Mansion when it 'malfunctioned' - the doors wouldn't open at the bottom, and the spiel started all over again !

We got to ride back up, with the HMH spiel going, and as we got to the very top, Jack lit up and laughed at us ! (He's REALLY big when you're THAT close to him  )

It was cool

Peoplemover (had to be walked off)
Rocket Rods (approx. 20 mins. on outside track)
Pirates of the Carribbean (stalled at several parts throughout ride sometimes for 15-20 mins. at a time, the lift at end is the most scary place to stall)
Snow White (temporary)
Haunted Mansion (10 minutes in seance room)
Indiana Jones (5 mins. at a time)
Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin (had to be walked off in room with Jessica smashing weasel with hammer)
Winnie the Pooh (cascade stop at end)

Once my brother and I were next in line to get on the Matterhorn. Rigt before we were let on, the ride suddenly stopped. They had to make people get out of the cars and climb down from the top of the mountain!

Dang, you name it and I've probably been stuck on it. My friends say I'm the unlucky ride-breaker. But I think it's great! The best one: getting stopped on Indy right before the spinning boulder. The lights came on and we got to see how that trick works. It was really great. We got a good look at Indy too. We walked out, but at that point there wasn't anything to see when we left.

Hello all this is my first post.
I am really excited I get to tell someone about this topic as me and my Girlfriend have been going to DL every season since spring 2002. And we have experienced a numerous stops and stalls but no walk offs.
Last fall on Indiana Jones we made it into the que with two minutes to spare as midnight marked the closing of the lines. We were the very last couple and we wanted front row seats.
Carefull what you wish for as we got our seats on a jeep that stopped in the dark so we could see the rats for ten minutes. The sound effect with the squeaking rats was an engine turning over intermittently and not starting. My GF was freaking out so I couldn't joke much. The jeep got going again and stalling again for the next 25 minutes. It was a good and slow tour that had me a little nervous. When we got off the ride It was 12forty somthin and the Imagineers were there wearing overalls and as we got off the ride they did tweedle dee and tweedle dum thing to the left and right and wouldnt let us go. I was laughing uncontrolably and My Girlfriend Jeanna snowwhite was freaking cause she wanted out of the building. I loved every minute walking towards the Main Street Train Station from Adventureland.
Last summer we were stuck on Haunted Mansion twice in the same spot where you hear howls and door knocking as the doors breathe. Half an hour the first time and ten minutes the second time. Oh the howling and knocking is burned into memory.
Whoo hoo we are going to drive 400 miles this weekend for our fall trip! I can't wait. DL soon!:D

I have only been trapped on one ride, Indy!

It was funny how it happened, too. I spent my time in the stand by queue chatting it up with some out-of-towners, trying my "Spirit of Adventure Tour" spiels on them, and when we got on the ride, we were all pumped. So, as we enter the chamber of destiny, I tell them as loud as I can, "don't look into the eyes!!!", and just as the ride tells us we've doomed ourselves ("Infidels!"), the ride breaks down, with us stuck on the ramp in the hall of promise.

...I didn't WANT to say "I told you so..."

We got walked off Grizzly River. We were stopped one raft back from the last fall. It took quite awhile as they had to drain the water first. The CM that helped us out was great. She even took a picture of all of us standing in the empty "river bed".

Big Thunder RR on August 4th of this year. We were stuck on the far back lift (outside one) for about 20 minutes as the entire ride was first evacuated and then the CM's came and got us. Half the passengers had removed themselves from the cars to the dismay of our rescuers. Had a long walk out and went through the inner halls and control areas of the ride. Really eerie when I heard of the accident just a few days later. I have pics.

If you all don't mind, let me take down your names.....I hope that I never have the opportunity to be on the same attraction as any of you. With the number of breakdowns here.........:fez:
