So I have a freind coming into town that will want to visit DCA and DL for 2-3 days. I have an annual pass. What is the best deal going on now for her, with the current promotions that are running?

I don't think this will help too much as you only want to visit the parks for 2-3 days, but if she buys a "5 for 3 days" resort park hopper *I'm pretty sure* she could apply it to a SoCal pass and then have the rest of the year to return. This is one of those online promotions-she would have to buy it before she comes. Anyways, read about it here. (http://attractiontickets.tickets.com/buy/TicketTrans)

The "5 for 3" passes are only valid for 13 (maybe 14) days after it's first use, but offers great value for those using it at least 3 days. It can be puchased online, but should also be available at any AAA travel office.

"5 for 3" passes can also be bought at The Disney Store.

The best deal right now is the 2 day SoCal Passport for $47.

NirvanaMan, so long as you have the proper zip code, you can buy the tickets for your friend.

The drawback, you will be forced to spend one day at one park (DL), and the other at DCA, without the chance to parkhop. If you go three days, you could buy a second ticket ($47x 2 = $94), cheaper than a regular 3 day passport ($119). If you are only going to spend three days at the DLR, you could convert the second 2 day SoCal ticket into a one-day parkhopper, so you could spend 2 days at the DL, one day at the DCA, and on the last day, hop over to DCA to hit some highlights....

Ok it looks like a SoCal pass actually would work out best, if she can buy it. Does anyone know if they are enforcing the zip code restrictions?

Is the pass the same price at the gate as it is online?

Have them bring cash and you buy it.

Well, then, you must employ a padder who does. (That wasn't really an offer):p

The only drawback on the So Cal AP is all Saturdays are blocked. Make sure they plan accordingly.

We are talking about the SoCal 2 day ticket, which has NO blackout days....

Actually Darkbeer, I think the SoCal AP might work out best, gives us a little more flexibility with park hopping and stuff. I'm not sure we cud spend a full day at DCA. :)

But thanks for the suggestion, I am considering it.
