Sources Say Disneyland President Harriss Resigns

LOS ANGELES -- Walt Disney Co. (NYSE:DIS - News) plans to announce that Cynthia Harriss, president of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif., has resigned for personal reasons, according to people familiar with the matter.

There's a discussion thread here (http://www.laughingplace.com/default.asp?WCI=MsgBoard&WCE=T-41858-P-1&Refresh=1014144952) that includes Cynthia's farewell email as well as news about Matt Ouimet, her replacement.

I'm sure the folks here will have the same info up very shortly.

I don't know anything about Cynthia on any real level, but the few interactions I've had with her as a guest, she's always been very nice and personable. I'll be sad not to see her at events anymore, but I'm looking forward to seeing what Matt brings to the table.

Ah...the old standby catch all...terrorist attacks...ok...that's it awright...how could they have possibly re-built thier biz after Sept. 11...give me a break.

One might think/hope the Wall Street Journal could do a bit more research.
