I saw a tweet with photo today. No more flatbread pizza at Boardwalk. Regular slices and a menu similar to PizzaPort. Bummer.

That would be a boo from me on the removal of flatbread pizza from Boardwalk...I LOVE the cheesy pizza there!

Did they get rid of their pasta? I can't remember the name of it and I've only had it once back in April but it was so yummy. It was my new have to have. I really hope they didn't get rid of it.

I don't know but I doubt it. As I said - I saw a photo from a tweet and it did not show the entire restaurant or the menu. just the pizza.

That stinks. Does that mean they are gone from Village Haus too?? I hope the pasta does not change to the same garbage they serve at Pizza Port. The pasta was really good.

Oh that sucks. I have teenaged boys - aka bottomless pits. We'd get each boy a pasta, plus a flatbread for the table.

Not cool at all! We had that flatbread pizza at least a couple of times a trip. Going to have some very unhappy guys in my house when I have to share change with them.

Here's a tweet I found with the picture of the updated menu. :(

I'm not a fan of those Pizza Port slices either. If I want pizza from the parks, I'll occasionally get a flatbread pizza, but I prefer those personal size pizzas from Daisy's Diner in TT or Village Haus. Mmmmm!

Thanks for sharing.

Better to find out now before a trip, instead of finding out when we get there and be disappointed when we walk in. Time to adapt and go on the hunt for a new favorite, which is just as much fun as having a favorite. :)

$7 for A slice! That's ridiculous. At least when you were buying the flat bread you felt like it was a whole mini pizza for the price. I really liked the chicken pizza. I really regret that we didn't have any this summer now.

Adrienne has some more details in today's DL Resort Update (http://www.mouseplanet.com/10804/Disneyland_Resort_Update#newsTnT). CMs stated that customers were asking for thicker-crust pizza, so the flatbreads are out. Other menus remain the same.

I saw that and its unfortunate that this may be. I guess I chalk it up to the thousands of guests who come for one or two trips a year and want value - and I guess a preference for something like a thick crust seems to be "more" so that would imply value for your $. Those of us who come to the parks often look for unique tastes and food items and I guess that will lose out in this environment. Oh well.

I tried the pizza at Pizza Port for the first time two weeks ago. And the crust was not good. It was like a premade bread round that was then cooked with the (minimal) sauce and (undercooked) cheese and toppings. All of the crusts looked burnt expect the special Hawaiian pizza, but I don't eat pork, so I tried the veggies. Sorry, but I prefer pizza dough, not what they're passing off as crust. The veggies were good, it wasn't all peppers or all olives like sometimes happens with veggie pizza. The zucchini and peppers were sliced thin, and were great. But yea, curiosity satisfied, I won't be trying it again. Will probably be skipping Boardwalk as well. In the picture in the update, the crusts also look slightly burnt, like a Pizza Port, but not quite as bad.

Oh, what a bummer. That had become one of our go-to lunch places. We didn't like the kid pizzas, so we would get one flatbread for both girls to share. It was perfect. My husband and I would usually share a flatbread pizza and a salad. We don't care for the thicker crust pizzas. I guess we'll give it a try...

What I set in boldface in your post is exactly my same opinion about their pizza.

Village Haus still had theirs on..... Wednesday, I think.

We didn't try the pizza there but we had the pasta. The sun dried tomato was just ok. The four cheese ravioli was better. We like Paradise Garden Grill next door far better.

Tried the pizza yesterday at Boardwalk Pizza and I didn't care for it. I actually think that I like Sbarro (in any mall!) better. It wasn't a huge slice and the crust was too thick. Also, very difficult to share, as one slice is barely enough for 1 person. I have never tried the pizza at the Pizza Port, so I can't compare there, but I'm going to be searching for a new go-to lunch spot.

I don't care for flatbread pizza, I've always like a really thick crust. Not a value thing, more of a texture thing I guess. Will have to try those personal size pizzas. Didn't know about them. However i do avoid Pizza Port at all cost...but that one from Daisy's Diner looks delish.
