To answer the oft-asked question "where is a good place to propose?"

Disney’s Fairy Tale Wedding Engagement Packages At the Disneyland Resort

Sleeping Beauty’s Royal Engagement $7000.00

This is a magical, evening to remember in Disneyland’s Magic Kingdom after hours. Upon arrival, the couple is invited by the Royal Coachmen to enjoy a fairy tale ride in Cinderella’s Crystal Coach along Main Street, U.S.A. As the coach approaches Sleeping Beauty Castle, Herald Trumpeters perform a welcoming fanfare. The couple is then escorted by the Fairy Godmother to Snow White’s Wishing Well where a romantic table is adorned with a bouquet of roses and a glass slipper containing the couple’s engagement rings sitting atop a velvet pillow. The evening is entranced by musical arrangements of a strolling violinist at which Mickey and Minnie Mouse arrive to lead the couple to the Castle Garden for a romantic, five-course dinner under the stars served by a Royal Butler. For a sweet ending, Cinderella’s Crystal Coach waits for the couple with champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries and a return down Main Street, U.S.A. A professional photographer is on hand to capture the evening’s magical moments.

the $2000 one is a rip off, but the others sound REALLY cool.

A few of us Padders witnessed something similar to this....we saw a table for two positioned on the drawbride of the castle. The area was roped off. It was just before closing, and the area was very dark. The table included rose petals, flowers, champagne with two glasses, and Cinderella's glass slipper. There may have been more but we couldn't see very well. A photographer took a ton of pictures. Then the couple was brought in....he seemed to propose and she seemed to accept....we were too far to hear or anything, and I personally missed the action (anyone see anything? I didn't). Of course all this was very romantic except that there was a small crowd watching from behind the rope.

I would say he got the $2000 package but I don't know about the "watching Believe" and the "garden" parts.

If I had won $15 million playing Lotto, I wouldn't spend $7K to propose at Disneyland. Just bring in the ring in your posket and ask! I suppose that anytime they see someone proposing in DL, without having paid $2K+, they'll be kicked out of the park.

I believe it is one of my friends that was proposed to that CP is talking about. She told me all about it, but I haven't had a chance to talk to him to see what it set him back.

Can you imagine getting the big $7000 package, and having the girl say no? Man, that would be one awkward Crystal Carriage ride back down Main Street...

...not too much of a surprise in it, though, once you get there.

ok...now- i could be completely out in left field, and please let me know if i am, but i really don't think this whole proposal extravaganza thing is very cool.

i think disneyland is a fabulous place to propose, and there are many beautiful places and moments to work with, but i think it would be tremendously awkward to ride down Main Street in the glass coach- especially both ways. it just seems incredibly showy and not particularly romantic. i just see going past a lot of moms with strollers and older couples and groups of college kids laughing...how romantic could that be?

i think a little inventive creativity is far better- i.e. the dessert balcony right before fantasmic, or the blue bayou with accomodating waiters. that seems much more organic and far less "which package will you be selecting today?"

i just noticed the "after hours" infobit in the first sentence. that does make it far cooler and less flagrantly showy...hmm.

i'll have to remember this special offering when i decide it's time to pop the question!

well.. if you want spontanous I"m thinking the after hours would sort of give it away .... but for less than a $1,000 bucks you could buy out the entire Fantasmic Dessert Balcony (based on 20 spots at 47 bucks a pop)..... go to the park on a normal operating day....have your closest friends/family there (without her knowing why of course) Take her to the courtyard outside the Gallery, propose then have the F balcony to celebrate her saying yes...

I'm with dshimel about spending @K on a proposal.

However, I *did* get proposed to DL without one of these packages and they *didn't* kick us out.

For about $200 (dinner for the 2 of us, my best friend and her husband) at BB my then-boyfriend had a paid-for photgrapher capture our special moment as he got down on his knee in the middle of Mai Street, during "Believe..." and it snowed afterwards!

If I'm riding in a Crystal Carriage down Main Street, at closing time, towards the Castle, I'm sorry, but I'm going to KNOW something's up.

That would be kind of cool...and a lot less expensive:)
