From LP's headlines: LPWire: Image and Stats on New Haunted Mansion Holiday Oogie Boogie Confectionery Sculpture (DL) posted: 9/30/03

This year Disneyland's Haunted Mansion Holiday will feature an eight-foot-tall candy sculpture of the dirty trickster Oogie Boogie from the film Tim Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas. The creation weighs 500 lbs. and is decorated with thousands of gummy spiders, snakes, lizards and other edible items. The
sculpture can be seen daily within the seasonal version of the attraction from October 3, 2003, through January 4, 2004.

Made from candy...

Darn. I was hoping for an AA of Oogie Boogie. That would have been neat, too.

The candy sculpture idea is cool, but if it's in the HMH scene it wouldn't necessarily have to be made from candy. It could have been fake.

This "candy" oogie boogie will most likely appear in the ballroom scene - in the middle of the table of the "birthday" party. Everyyear the Disneyland Resort chef's have made a gingerbread Haunted Mansion (in holiday tradition of making a gingerbread house). This year O-B is supposed to disrupt everything, so it's natural for him to come "bursting" out of the house ;-).

BTW - the different posts from other press releases has it that O-B will be at the end trying to send something home with you. This will be in place of Lock/Shock/Barrel jumping into your car with their costumes on. (which, of course, replaces the Hitchhiking Ghosts in the attraction).

Also - there is supposed to be a game associated with the ride this year - O-B has placed several items in the mansion. can you spot them? Will probably tie into some other merchandise opportunity (sigh).
