I was checking for street closures on Sat 1/18 during the 10K - but the city of anaheim's website (http://www.anaheim.net/administration/PIO/news.asp?id=1511) says that the streets will only be closed on Sunday, Jan 20th. And when it describes other events it does not even mention the 10K on Sat.

I would think that some of disneyland drive and harbor/disney way are closed on Sat AM up to a certain point. I ask because my son is marching down Main St. for the last time in his HS career and we want to be there - but we have to plan accordingly.

Anyone with insight as to when streets open up - and which exact streets? If I wanted to hit the park in the AM - should I go on the southbound 5 flyover?

Looks like they didn't properly update their website. They have the 5K on Saturday, which is probably when it normally is, but this year, the 5K is on Friday and the new 10K is on Saturday. If it helps, here's the 10K course (http://as1.wdpromedia.com/media/rundisney/pdf/tinkerbell/2014/201410KMap.pdf), so maybe that can help you plan. The race starts at 6am.

thanks - yeah, I checked the course map so I know what will be closed - but it would be nice to know when the cones/closures will be lifted. I would assume 9am but maybe 10am.

I asked on the APD FB (https://www.facebook.com/AnaheimPD) page about closures for Saturday as well.

They were repaving part of the race course today - the section up Manchester from Ball to the 5.

as a reference, I thought this would be focused on the streets only. I had seen the 10K Disney map before.

Hmm so if I get off on Katella I should be able to turn left on Harbor.

If you're traveling north on the 5, get off at Chapman. Will save you a lot of aggravation.

i decided to not chaperone and instead just go on my own at 2pm. he marched before the 630pm parade - so I made it in but dropped some volunteer effort. The only issue was parking - Mickey and friends had no wait at the gate - but all the wait up the ramp. took about 40 minutes to park because line was so long to try and find a few spots on Daisy. I wondered if they would send people back down and then back in again.
