World of Color Countdown to Midnight:

In past years, a separate Fastpass machine was used to issue tickets for the World of Color Countdown to Midnight show at the same time the other machines issued tickets for the earlier shows. We don't know if this will be the case again this year, but it's worth swinging by the Fastpass distribution area to check.

Hats and Horn distribution: (begins at 6pm)

Jingle Jangle Jamboree in Disneyland
Parade gate across from Silly Symphony Swings in DCA
Parade gate near Tower of Terror in DCA

Parking and Transportation:

No planned tram service interruptions to the Mickey and Friends structure, but expect heavy crowds after both fireworks shows.
Guests with disabilities can use a special loading area near the picnic area.
Downtown Disney parking lot (Stitch and Lilo) will begin charging at flat $20 fee per vehicle upon entry starting at 5pm. Visitors who get a validation from the theater or participating restaurant can receive a refund from the valet booth by showing their parking ticket and receipt.

Area / attraction closures:

Toontown closes at 8pm, and will not reopen.
Paradise Pier attractions will reopen between the 2nd and 3rd World of Color show.
California Screamin' will not reopen after the 3rd World of Color show.

Thanks for the info, but considering how crowded the park(s) will be, doesnt even sound the least bit fun. I'll wait until the holidays go away :-)

Having been there with 100,000plus of my closest friends, I have no desire to do this ever again.

I'll stay home and watch the Grape cluster drop instead.

I don't know if this was a change since the update was published, but the Disneyland.com park hours are listed as both parks opening at 8am with Disneyland closing at midnight and DCA at 11pm. There are still no early entry for either park.

Had the DCA hours been accurate, I was looking forward to sleeping in and still being in the park at rope drop! Oh well, I think those days are long gone.

We were there (and at DCA, too) and had a really fun time. No problems with parking or getting into DL or DCA. Who else was there? Anything to report?

We were there :) Met up with friends for lunch and the 1:30 Billy show. PS for dinner at Naples then to DCA until 11. Randomly decided to try to get in to DL at 11pm. NO problem. Checked out the artwork and Tiki Room memorabilia in the old bank and headed out to Main Street at 11:50. Mellow crowd there and wonderful fireworks.
Between times we managed to ride Buzz, Carousel, Star Tours (FP), TOT and Sorin (FP)

We had a great day and a first for us to "brave" Main Street on NYE.
