When did this return?

It was removed in 2011 when the menu was revamped (I posted my witnessing of one couple's hysteria over the change) but I see it listed on the current MousePlanet menu while the blueberry pie is gone. I seem to recall seeing a strawberry pie on my last visit but there is no pie option on the current menu.

I rarely eat here so I'm not surprised to have missed its return. Maybe there was more than one hysterical couple?

I am pretty sure MDM had one last Christmas there.

Not sure when it returned, but we got to enjoy one this trip. Glad they brought them back.

I know this will sound odd. But what is a funnel cake?

They've been back for about a month. At the same time they added them back to the menu, they also added "regular" fries to the menu.

So I noticed. I thought it odd that this weekend's special sandwich came with regular fries.

Thanks for confirming.

It's a deep fried dough concoction that you drop the pancake batter consistency batter into the hot oil with a funnel, sort of making a web of dough.
