I’ve got some exciting news to share today – Starbucks is coming to the Downtown Disney District (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/destinations/downtown-disney-district/?CMP=SOC-DPFY13Q4DTDStarbucks0001) at Disneyland Resort (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/?CMP=SOC-DPFY13Q4DTDStarbucks0002)!

This winter, Starbucks lovers will be happy to find their favorite brew offered in not one, but two locations – the first, in front of the west entrance to World of Disney (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/shops/downtown-disney-district/world-of-disney/?CMP=SOC-DPFY13Q4DTDStarbucks0003) and the second, a kiosk location.
We are proud to partner with Starbucks, a company that, like Disney, is known for providing its guests with an excellent experience, and we are excited to add Starbucks to the fantastic dining, shopping and retail experiences at the Downtown Disney District. Of course, these new locations join two Disneyland Resort cafes offering Starbucks products: Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/dining/disney-california-adventure/fiddler-fifer-and-practical-cafe/?CMP=SOC-DPFY13Q4DTDStarbucks0004) already open in Disney California Adventure (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/destinations/disney-california-adventure/?CMP=SOC-DPFY13Q4DTDStarbucks0006) park, and Market House (http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2013/03/starbucks-coming-to-main-street-u-s-a-at-disneyland-park-disneyana-to-combine-with-disney-gallery/) opening this September inside Disneyland (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/destinations/disneyland/?CMP=SOC-DPFY13Q4DTDStarbucks0005) park.

This is interesting to me for a few reasons. When the Anne Geddes store closed, I was told by a very trusted source that they had seen plans to turn that location into a Starbucks. They had some pretty detailed information, so it was a surprise when Wet Seal announced their BLINK concept store would go there. Then I heard that BLINK was only there until Starbucks was ready to move on that space.

Then last weekend I noticed BLINK was just suddenly gone, and lo and behold, here's an announcement that a new Starbucks will open "in front of the west entrance to World of Disney."

I wonder where the kiosk will go, now that they've torn out the former Compass Books kiosk that was in front of Earl of Sandwich.

All I can say is "Hallelujah!" A coffee location (Compass Books didn't count in my opinion) in Downtown Disney has been long overdue. And I do hope they open early for Magic Morning people as well as offer the full line of breakfast sandwiches and pastries.

Think of all the lines for attractions that will get shorter, now that people can stand in line for Starbucks!

Good news for Disney and SB fans. Actually LaBrea Bakery has the best tasting Espresso in the park but SB is good, offers many drink varieties and is consistent. Finally we can all get our caffeine fix anywhere in the resort!

Unless I missed a change, and there is always that possibility, LaBrea serves SB coffee.

I don't know if it is too close to the store Starbucks, but when I read "kiosk" my mind went to the information booth that is so rarely open over by the baggage check. Is that still even there?

Darn. Hoping it would be PEETS! Hagen Dazs serves it but they aren't open early enough. Ah well back to tea. I'm mad!

Yes, Peets has more respect for tea drinkers than Starbucks, in my experience. But, I'll take Starbucks tea over Nestle swill in a styrofoam cup any day!

LOL!

Of course with 4 locations at the Disney Resort, the lines will move faster.

The queues for the attractions should move faster too since all those Starbucks fans will be hopped up on caffeine!

i am just banking that the hotel guests will all stop at the DTD location so if any of us day guests want some we can go straight in and have at least a little line relief.

This is totally OT - but did the internal coffee service at Disneyland Resort change over to the new vendor?
