Yesterday, I happened to walked by the Enchanted Tiki Room and saw a line trying to get in with some cast members passing out a flier and scanning passes. I did what any passholder would do, I jumped in line. When I got my flier, I asked what was all this about and the cast member said it was the actual 50th anniversary of the ETR and the flier was the original brochure that Disney gave out to guests back then. That made the show extra special and on top of that, Maynard was the cast member working. The brochure stated that Disney put a million dollars into R&D for this show, calculating inflation that would have been $7.4 million dollars!:p

I was there yesterday as well with intention of picking up a copy for myself and others. Unfortunately...or fortunately for folks who can't make it there until later in the week...CMs scan AP barcodes before handing you your a brochure. So just one to an AP. Makes it better for Disney to have supplies last through the week as well as gauge who and how many APs are taking advantage of this.

A Limited Time Annual Passholder Magic Offer

Celebrate 50 years of the iconic Audio-Animatronic attraction the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland Park! In honor of this milestone, Annual Passholders can receive a special recreation of the 1963 Enchanted Tiki Room brochure, available while supplies last, which includes the original graphics, copy and even a special message from Walt Disney. This Limited Time Annual Passholder Magic giveaway is truly for the birds.

Actually, it's one per AP per day. When we read about that restriction (which makes perfect sense), we figured they'd probably scan APs because it's the easiest way to keep track. The brochure is pretty cool.

I was quite disappointed to see it was a color laser copy, but I've come to have reduced expectations with Limited Time Magic. Still, was nice to get and see.

So, in DL, is limited time magic only for APs?

This particular one is, but there are others that are available to anyone (e.g. the Lone Ranger mug w/root beer float).

If I remember correctly as a kid it was a "D" Ticket to get in ? But I had to ride the Jungle Cruise before the Tiki Room.

Ah, thanks for the clarification!

Thanks for the info. We'll be there tomorrow anyway, so I'll walk by the Tiki Room to check. If there are any still available, I'll post here.

I just saw this pop up on Facebook. I wondered if anyone has happened to see this at Disneyland or not. Because if I'd rather by it there and use my AP discount! :D

I don't know why it was on the AP FB page. There's nothing in the description or ordering information that seems to require the purchaser be an AP.

The Disneystore.com site does not limit it to APs (in fact, the page doesn't ask for any AP info) and the AP twitter feed specified that this offer is for everyone, but only for a limited time.

I, too, am interested whether anyone has seen this for sale in the parks.

It wasn't in Disneyland yesterday. They were handing out flyers to purchase it online at the 50th event, though.

We went to the Annual Passholder history of Adventureland and Frontierland with Stacia Martin tonight. We really enjoyed it and at the end were given a flyer that sounds exactly like what you have described. Next Tuesday she will discuss Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, and then the following Tuesday it will be Main Street.

Nope, no tickets for this. Had to pay 75-cents for it, according to the replica ticket I received at the Tiki Room Event (paid $85 to go)

That's weird, the info on the back of the "replica" ticket given out at the 50th Anniversary Tiki Room Event (pins and other merchandise) specifically said it wasn't one.

You're actually both right. When the Tiki Room first opened, it was a separately ticketed attraction that you had to pay for. At some point (don't know what year), it got folded into the regular ticket system and became an e-ticket.

I think there's some information about that in the Tiki Room exhibit at the Disney Gallery/Disneyana/Opera House/whatever they're calling that section now. If I remember the next time I go, I'll try to take a picture of that info.

And did it become a D ticket before the tickets went away altogether?
