SOMEONE told me this morning that a new Dumbo popcorn bucket had been released at Disneyland, so of course, I had no choice but to go have a look. Oh my heck, it is so amazingly cute. They did a terrific job with it. It's available at the popcorn carts in Town Square, at the hub, and on Matterhorn Way across from Storybook. Cost is $12. Remember that you can ask for the popcorn in the regular paper/cardboard container so you don't get your Dumbo dirty and have to wash out the popcorn butter oil.

Here's a picture of the Dumbo popcorn bucket. (http://twitpic.com/chj0yx)

That's really cute! I think they should have saved it for Labor Day weekend (and the Dumbo Double Dare)!

Why? I knew I shouldn't come in here but I did.... do you think if I stood there and sang they would give me one? ;) I refrained from buying R2 but it was close, this might do me in.

We were figuring it's a good pre-promotion for the summer fireworks, since that features Dumbo. I'd think they'd want to take advantage of the summer crowds who might want one of the buckets rather than just waiting for fall.

I want one - anyone have a photo they can post of it?

There are links to two photos in the original post.

I'd forgotten about Dumbo and the summer fireworks, plus, it's not like there's any marketing to do around the Dumbo Double Dare!!!

Oh my, how cute is that? And how cute for a child to take home and use it to store treasure's later?

I don't have an AP anymore (moment of silence :crying:) and I sure do wish DLR still had that one hour shopping pass; I would be all over that popcorn bucket.

Yeah, but I extort a high price for doing that favor. I make them give up their popcorn to me, and they only get the bucket. I've got three boxes of Disneyland popcorn at home! :)

$12.00 each and you can ask to have the popcorn in the paper scoop so your dumbo doesn't have the oils from the popcorn :)

FYI - It's mentioned in today's "Update" but says that the Dumbo container alone costs $12 and you have to pay another $4 for the popcorn. Very cute!

Nope, not true. $12 which includes the container and the popcorn.

I know you could buy others in the past in the various stores, and they came without popcorn. But at the popcorn stands they have always come with popcorn.

Now my whole family has seen these and the question becomes: How to fly with a dumbo in the suitcase x 5 (for 5 people)??

Take along an extra tote bag. You will most likely have to put them by your feet, but we have found southwest and Jetblue in particular allow that extra souvenir bag without saying anything. Or everyone carries their own onto the plane, pretend it is your lunchbox. :p

Perhaps we could use it as our 'purse'!

Oh, Dumbo would totally count as a "personal item"! You could also slip your wallet and keys in there and really start a trend!

If these are anything like the older specialty versions, you may be able to disassemble them and stack the pieces.
