I think you can get a sticker, and at any attraction that has a CM with a mike if they feel like it they will sing HB to you over the PA system. Other than that I don't think there are any special privilages, but you might be able to sit in the engine of the train and the wheelhouse on the MT, I think they have some cupons for a free cookie or something too.

You pick up the sticker at City Hall. You'll probably be wished a happy one , but that's about it. My son was given a pen by the train engineer as consolation for the fact that no one can ride up front anymore (BOOOO!!!). The Mime in NOS gave him some beads and got a group of people to sing to him.

I did a search on google.com and came up with these. Hope they'll help you in your quest for a special Disney birthday.

Walt Disney, in a memo (http://www.disneylandsource.com/history/walt1.html) dated August 31, 1948, wrote that Disneyland would have a "restaurant with rooms for birthday parties." Unfortunately, no such restaurant exists in the park. The closest is a themed Birthday Party at Goofy's Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel with candy confetti, photo, party hats, cupcake/cake:
http://www.intercotwest.com/resortGuide/birthdayParties.asp
http://www.familytravelguides.com/articles/pacificstates/Disneyland/dislakid.html

- Back in 1995, this guy had a birthday party at Disneyland with a special birthday certificate with "birthday privileges". Anyway, he chronicled it here: http://www.perrific.com/disney/bday/bday.html You might want to check with Guest Relations, just in case it does exist

- As mentioned earlier in this thread, go to City Hall for a personalized sticker:
http://www.hiddenmickeys.org/Disneyland/Secrets/MainStreet/CityHall.html

- "Also on your birthday, you can call Goofy! (usually just the kids). Just ask any cashier Cast Member (if s/he doesn't notice your birthday sticker, otherwise they'll offer). He has a wonderful birthday greeting for you. "

While on the subject of birthdays, here's a heart-warming account of a Cast Member who made a little girl's birthday a special one:

Here are some other birthday things:

You can have a birthday party at Redd Rocket's Pizza Port.

If you are wearing a Birthday sticker, your odds of being chosen to sit in the Ring of Fire at Who Wants to Be A Millionaire are greatly enhanced.

Rod, the piano player at Coke Corner (Wed - Sun) will sing Happy Birthday to you.

Adrienne VP - Who has celebrated many many many birthdays at the Happiest Place on Earth.

I always wanted to be at Disneyland on my B-day, which is actually coming up, but 2 things prevent me from being able to go, 1 I am busy that day with the usual work or whatever, 2nd I for some odd reason always get sick.:crying: on my birthday. Which is BTW the same day as Johnny Appleseed's. sept 26th.

I've found that a DL Birthday Sticker increases your chances of getting "hit-on" significantly. Not only will random well-wishers shout "Happy Birthday!" but various and sundry people (sometimes attractive) will saunter up and say something to the effect of "Well Hi (insert name on sticker here), are you having a wonderful birthday you lovely lady, blah blah blah." Cast members seem especially subceptible to the powers of the birthday sticker. In one day I was propositioned by a pirate, an engineer, and a Small World skipper. Not too shabby.

Lil' sis was embarrassed on her birthday by a Peter Pan employee. We got in our ship and the CM asked her if she embarrassed easily - she said no, and he got on the PA. "Hey everyone in line, it's Julie's birthday! On the count of three, everyone say Happy Birthday!" We were then assaulted by Happy Birthdays. Then, the CM said, "Wave goodbye to Julie!" and they did! The entire line waved to us as we flew off. So fun!

I'd definitely recommend spending at least one of your birthdays at DL. It's fabulous.

I got a free dessert at Plaza Inn when I wore my birthday sticker.

Other than that, lots of CMs tells you "Happy birthday!" in the park, in queues, etc. BTW it was weird having people call me by my name... since I kept forgetting that my sticker had my name on it. D'oh!

We usually go to DL for one of my kids birthday. This year, I e-mailed DL, and asked them exactly what they could do to make a birthday special.
Withen a day, I got a very nice e-mail back with all kinds of options for a memorable day at DL to celebrate a birthday.
Log onto their web site, and send them a quick note. I was surprised at how quick I heard back!:D

does the bithday sticker tradition work at every themepark or only at disneyland.
IE do they have birthday stickers in WDW, TDL and DLP.
