Just wondering what the crowds are like today. I've always heard the 4th is crazy.

I know people who are there today who've said earlier it was not that crowded, but usually the crowds increase closer to nightfall.

I would think since it was a holiday that crowds would start early. I'd like to hear an update to their crowd status for later in the day.

It really wasn't crowded. It was nice, and APs didnt need handstamps.

Lotsa padders there.

It was pleasantly uncrowded yesterday, I thought. We may have to reconsider visiting on the Fourth in Future.

more than likely it was due to the 4th being in the middle of the week. I wonder if it were the same when closer to a weekend. I did see a tweet last night that said the fireworks Main St. crowd was full down to the train station - lots of folks but not as packed as I have heard in the past.

In the last few years, even when the Fourth has been on a weekend, the parks haven't been very crowded in the daytime. Around 12:30 yesterday afternoon, the standby for Screamin' was 15 minutes, and the wait time for Midway Mania was 40 minutes. We've noticed that around dinner time or right after, that's when all the crowds seem to show up, so it seems most people are just trying to be there for fireworks and the other nighttime activities. The 9pm Fantasmic and 10:15 World of Color were both quite full.
