I was just wondering...
Does anybody know what Disneyland will be doing for its birthday on July 17?
Celebration, anything special?

I'm sure it will be small, as I have heard nothing about it yet. All focus appears to be on the 50th, two years from now.

Does Disney not have any kind of traditional birthday recognition that they commemorate each year?

Unbelievable if they don't

Useally Cynthia Harris, steps up, and says a few words on how DL is great. :)

Yuo can take a look at what DL dis last year, in this MP artical. (http://www.mouseplanet.com/more/mm020718.htm)

Also, since July 17, 2003 will be MousePlanet's third birthday, there's going to be a meet (http://mousepad.mouseplanet.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17622) at the hub. :)

I'm actually more upset about missing the MP birthday meet, then missing Cynthia's boring speech. I'm going to be on a vacation to the east coast on July 17th! I was there last year, though, and it was no big deal.

I think next year's might be semi-big, since it's right before the 50th, and isn't it the start of their big year-long, 50th celebration? Plus, it's going to be on a Saturday next year, so there are bound to be big crowds. Until then, I have to be a bitter east-coaster about missing the D-land birthday event.

Im actually looking forward to a speech by Cynthia...

All i know about this one is that there is a pin being released for it lol. Gonna be really packed and hot that day but its worth it.

The 50th celebration does NOT start right after the july 17th 2004 birthday. It will be starting that fall eaither in October or November.
