If anyone has seen the poster, that's on the blue Space Mountain construction wall (here's a shot from MiceAge (http://members.aol.com/alweho/al061703pics/al061703c.jpg)), if you look, they show the building white in the picture.

I wonder if this shows us anything to come? :D

While I'd love to think the sign colors signify a return to a white Space Mountain, it's more likely that the image is re-used from WDW--where the Magic Kingdom's Space Mountain is still beautifully white.

Is that link not working for anyone else? Thanks!

That is just the Disneyland attraction poster for Space Mountain> All they did was change the bottom to say "The Adventure Continues 2005", changed the way Tomorrowland is spelled and made it bigger, and moved "Disneyland" from a white outline in the middle to blue in the corner.

The problem is that MiceAge typically exceeds their allotted bandwidth very quickly, especially when Al posts an update. If anyone has a photo of the Space Mountain construction sign, please either post it here (if it falls within the inline image guidelines) or email it to me so I can host it on my personal Web space.

Well, they're still using the "New Tomorrowland" logo. :yammy:

Why to we have to go to Mice Age and MI for pics?

Awww... Way to get my hopes up and then dash them into the ground.

Now that I see that's the attraction poster, I didn't realize that SM even had an attraction poster, let alone one as bad as that. :(

I wouldn't count on a new paint job until Tomorrowland gets a full makeover in 2008. However, if they DO repaint it, I'm hoping they paint it white again or maybe a metallic silver color.

totally correct... there is no way that a paint job will be done until tomorrowland is completely re-done. It would throw off the total color scheme of the land...

When did this sign go up? im in the park weekly but i rarely go up to the front of space mountain now that its closed... no point... so with this sign does this mean that cast members no longer stand in front of the entrance?

Yeah, after what, 2 months? They finally figured out it's cheeper to just put up a wall with a sign insted of of staffing someone there to just say "Yeah, it's closed"

MonorailMan, you beat me to it again. I think there is a good chance of SM going white again.

Jeesh MM, way to get my hopes up there, bud! I sincerely hope they DO repaint it though. And since when does white throw off a color scheme? Now, if they did it white with blue and silver streaking then yes, it could throw things off a bit. But plain white is always in style ;)

I mean, if it was going to be silver in '05, ya think they would have applied a little photoshop magic. ;)

Dumb question, I haven't been in a year and my memory is not serving me well, what color is space mountain right now?

I believe fecal brown describes it quite well.

Wow, an answer in an update. :D

Anyhow, did anyone notice how they changed the sign again? They added the red "Closed for Refubishemnt". I guess that guests were not getting the fact that SM is closed.

Hey, cool to get into an update... I dont really mind the colors... of course, I like the others better. Maybe the silver streaks would be better
