Did you get in today's (7/15/11) e-mail in-box an "AP Extra" from "Disney Destinations"?

AP Extra said that, from June 22 to August 3, 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, there shall be swing dancing on the main stage near ESPN.
"Wednesday nights are swing nights in the Downtown Disney District."

Q. Has anyone seen this yet? Who is playing?

The DL web site failed to list the actual bands for the main stage in Downtown Disney, unlike its listings for the Carnation Plaza.

We went this past Wednesday night (7/13). The bands are supposed to be local (so not necessarily the same bands which play on Saturday nights at DL). The dance floor is quite small and crowded. Viewing is harder than it is at Carnation Plaza. We found that unless you are right up against the edge of the DTD dance floor, it is hard to see as people cut in front of you frequently. While it was fun to do the DTD thing once (there was a lindyhop contest which was great!), we really prefer the dancing and bands at CP.

I finally saw the set up. I was there July 27th.
The band was Tim McGill and His All-Stars.
They had a jitter-bug contest, too.

Last date is August 3rd.
