Think we will get them at Disneyland? (even though we dont have the Star Wars Weekends)

They are fantastic looking, and I would love to surprise my husband and son with one.

I was told we will have them at Disneyland as soon as Star Tours officially opens here. I haven't heard if we will also be getting the smaller R2-D2 dessert cup or not, but I can't imagine not.

I believe they were either in the WDW update this week, or the article dedicated to the Star Tours opening at WDW (I think it ran last Friday).

Thanks! Now, the big question in my mind is "Will they sell out quickly again like the past holiday-themed buckets?" :p

Thanks! Now, the big question in my mind is "Will they sell out quickly again like the past holiday-themed buckets?" :pProbably, BUT, these are not a limited-edition item. I've been told Disneyland plans to offer these and the dessert cups for at least a year, so when they sell out - and they will - they'll get more just as soon as the vendor can make/ship them.

They will only be offered at the three popcorn carts nearest the Star Tours attraction - Tomorrowland, Matterhorn Way and the Hub.

The dessert cups will be offered at Pizza Port and Plaza Pavillion. Again, they will sell out and they will come back in stock.

Yes, Plaza Inn, sorry.

I was hoping the Plaza Pavillion hadn't reopened as such without my noticing!

FYI, the popcorn buckets are $15 each and contain regular popcorn (the one at WDW had caramel corn), and there's a limit of 4 per person.

The dessert cup is $11.50 and is available at Pizza Port and comes with a chocolate parfait.

I ended up heading to DLR on Friday and picking up a bucket and the dessert cup.

The lady working the popcorn stand looked at me like I was a crazy person when I asked for the popcorn in a separate cardboard container instead of in the R2-D2... But I didn't want it all greasy! :fez:

No. She gave me the funny look, but obliged to my request. And I heard the people behind me make the same request too! haha

May I make a suggestion if you are going to be using the bucket a lot, super glue the 2 halves together before using it. I noticed it was kind of separating at the seam just from being in my backpack as I walked around the park.

The mickey ghost bucket I bought last year during HalloweenTime actually split completely in the course of the night I was there and wouldn't snap back together.

But that makes it really hard to wash without being able to open it. We didn't have a problem with the seam, but R2's head isn't latched on at all, so that kept falling off.
