My wife just got back from the CM preview of Star Tours ll. She can't stop saying that it's beyond amazing...That its nothing like the old ride. Really looking forward to riding it now.

So basically your wife is saying that it's more Imagineering and less George Lucas? If that's the case, count me in!

Hearing about other CM reviews of the other major new ride, seems like we have two potential home runs at the same time.

What are you hearing about The Little Mermaid? My brother said that CMs he's talked to didn't like it so much, saying that it was fine for kids. Are you hearing something different?

As someone who gets motion sickness, how do you think the ride will be? I've ridden the old Star Tours but not for quite some time. I can handle once or twice on Space Mountain and them I'm done. I couldn't do Universal Studio's Back to the Future, had to keep my eyes closed :-(

I am curious about that too. The problem, I think, is that while they did the best they could, the movement still didn't quite match the visuals. If they have that worked out, I'll bet it would be better.

TowerofTerror is either Posting Under the Influence or posting from a phone using the little keyboard. But I think I was able to figure that out.

Seeing as the post was at 1:12am, take a guess which one is correct . . .

Just curious as to who entered the Star Tours contest? I received an email today but it didn't exactly say "I Won!", it was more, "stay tuned"?
Had to send all my info including a 'secret pass' number that was included in the email.
Anybody else?

remember - there are two contests. The one from the AP side has multiple days for previews; the one from the Disney Parks blog only has May20th as a preview day.

I won the regular one. I see that it gets me two free 1-day 1-park passes along with admittance to the ride. Being that I'm an AP, will I be able to use those tickets elsewhere? Anyone have an idea? I'd like to bring a 3rd friend. (Not to ride Star Tours, just to get in)

Not talking to any CM's directly, but chatter on a few other boards indicated that it will be a great ride for all ages. Great AA's, theming-including the queue, music, only complaint was they wished it was just a tad slower.
