Did you know Disney is selling clothing items depicting Mickey and Goofy as taggers? Doesn't Anaheim have enough of a problem with graffiti without Disney promoting it?

Speaking as a stockholder, I hope I make a lot of money off them. Oh, while you're at it buy your kids a couple of those vinylmagiggies so they will continue to love you.

it's whatever the market will buy these days. that whole urban push that most companies (including Disney) are making sells to - you guessed it - the demographic that are NOT taggers. If people don't like it - then don't buy it (I don't like it so I won't buy it) - but these days I find it nearly impossible to not react to certain business targets - like these urban themes (the whole D-street store targets the urban graphic design market).

I wonder if it's something arising out of the Epic Mickey game?

Either way, I don't find them attractive at all.

Well I looked and saw and I'm upset! I understand modernizing characters for the new generation, but this is too much. First he's looks like some kind low life and second, graffiti is not art or cute--it is a crime.

I don't like them. It makes Goofy look like a gang member or something... and Goofy is my favorite because he's GOOFY... not "cool". I think they send a bad message.

Thanks Andrew for posting the video. I don't them either. Bad idea on whomever designed these tees and hats.

appealing to the lowest common denominator, instead of going for class, sad that Disney has fallen so far, maybe that explains the parks.

Please, don't do it for me, do it for the other 1,010,000 +/- Disney shareholders.

Did anyone go to the You Tube page and check out the comments section. The taggers were all over it like graffiti on a wall. Having dealt with tagging, these shirts seem counter productive to telling would be taggers that vandalizing someone's property is not acceptable. Personally, there is some tagging that is artistic. The Mona Lisa is artistic. But if someone reproduced the Mona Lisa on my fence, without my permission, it's no longer art, it's vandalism.

EDIT: That's good to know.
